Townsend last season one of the best, but the worst and the best I'll always remember was sitting in the Platt Lane when Franny Lee scored a screamer on his return to Maine Road with Derby. He put a shift in for whatever team he played for - City, Derby, England, one of my heroes, broke my heart when that went in but I forgave him. Repaid his debt when he sorted out Norman Hunter

The famous Franny Lee goal for Derby at Maine Road which had the immortal much-played TV commentary. Interesting....very interesting....oh just look at his face. I had a great view from the Kippax and the roar was almost as big as if we had scored. He was still a hero to most City fans.

Dean Saunders for Derby against us at the Baseball ground.

I was behind (Shilton's goal?) at the City end. He launched it and Saunders hit a first time volley as it came over his shoulder from about 35 yards. Coton didn't move and we we're all like 'What the fuck?)

Peter Beagrie also scored a great scissor goal against us at Goodison Park I vaguely remember?

For sheer opportunism, Ronnie Boyce returning Joe Corrigans goal kick with interest v Wet Spam in 1970 at Maine Road.

I was right behind the goal for that one screaming to get Joe's attention as it was sailing over his head. He was walking back head down totally in a world of his own. I can still see the look of alarm on his face as he finally saw and heard us and realised something was very wrong.
