Best individual performance

Stephen Jordan ran his cock off and successfully stopped the tranny. Great game by a big blue !

Also cleared one off line if I remember rightly , the met home that night was a bit rum , thank fuck 4 the Salford Blues

I agree with a lot of games already posted on here but there's one performance that hasn't been mentioned I don't think. I've had a quick flick through the previous pages and haven't seen this performance mentioned.
I'm not going to say this is the greatest ever city performance ever but vinnies performance in the 4-1 win over united at home in 2013 was surely the greatest centre half performance I have ever witnessed by any player let alone a city player. He was perfect that day. Absolutely perfect. Majestic. Magnificent. Lead by example that day. Rock solid.
I can't remember a better defensive performance by anyone in my short useless 41 years of walking this earth.

All I will say I went to both games and anyone that thinks that Silva's performance( played really well ) in the 6 swan , was as good as Gio's in 3 all against Newcastle is beyond me

Enjoy your nite

I went to both games too. If you're seriously even trying to compare those two players and performances I think you're taking it a bit too far now. It's gone beyond funny in to embarrassing farce. Your post is the Bluemoon equivalent of Scary Movie 7.

Had a great night thanks, hope you have too.

I remember Sun Jihai having an absolute cracker playing in defensive midfield before getting injured (possibly in the 1-0 win against Chelsea).

As has been mentioned, Aguero's 20mins v Spurs was just sensational and VK's masterclass in the 4-1, can't remember who was in the studio that day (Souness?) but whoever it was creamed himself over his performance.

This may be a strange one but does anyone remember Kinkladze playing at Port Vale in a mid week fixture away? I think the city fans were stood in one of the side stands. He had 3 players continuously marking them and he absolutely took the piss out of them. They were diving in trying to kill him and he just made a mockery of him. He was the shining light in a side of absolutely shite players who would brighten up a game with his sheer skill. This was one of them games where contrary to popular belief he turned up at an away game.

PS if anyone knows the date of this game or knows of where it might be shown let me know

This thread shows just how utterly bereft we were of truly quality players for a fucking long time. I was there for many of the said matches: Ali, Kinky, Weaver etc, but to say that some dazzling display against Southend, Sheff Wed etc is the best we've seen just highlights the absolute dearth of truly inspirational, top-notch players we had after Tueart et al departed the Maine Rd scene. Kinky's display away at Oxford was great - for a player plying his trade in the second tier. Let's not try and kid ourselves though - looking good against Port Vale, Wimbledon, etc, or putting in a shift in a draw against the Geordies is hardly statue-building stuff. The lot we're watching now are fucking light years ahead of the "stars" we watched in the dark days of 1976+

Aguero away at Spurs
Silva away in the 6-1
YaYa away at Newcastle/Palace / home to Villa/ Wembley semi, Wembley final
Serge v Bayern

Big players in big games. But nothing, ever, ever, ever will top the big balls of Sergio on THAT day. The greatest game any player has ever played for City. Bar none. Ever*.

*Except maybe Peter Barnes v Spurs in '77

Tueart murdered Newcastle in the 5-1 in 1975- only my 2nd game

Big Joe home to Birmingham 3-0 with 4 outstanding saves from Trevor Francis 1977

Ali B away to Sheffield Wds 6-2 - different planet

Micah at home v rags under Sven. Incredible

Tevez away to Chelsea 4-2. That was the performance of a true warrior- check out first goal

So many more and lot already mentioned

I remember City hammering Chelsea 6 something. Tueart I think got a hat trick but Peter Barnes killed them. Graham Wilkins (Ray's brother) was marking him but got sent off - and seemed happy about it.

Without a doubt I'd say Paul Walsh versus Tottenham at Maine Road in 1994. Walsh was magnificent, it was my first full season as a City fan and it made such a mark on me
