Best thing about Jack Rodwell

A young lad comes in and struggles so you all get on his back? Some of you need to take a good look at yourselves because it's just not on.

I think he might come good. He is good player and started very good but he is obviously in series of big mistakes and that certainly is affecting the confidence of young player that just signed for champions and team who is in need of immediate results. You can see on his face that he is frightened at the moment.

Similar thing happened with Savic but I guess it's obvious that Rodwell is far better player.

He needs fans to support him and not to spat on him in these bad days. Give him a time, it's not his fault City bought him and not De Rossi.

? I assume you don't mean a fan actually spat at him? Bang out of order obviously. If you mean criticise him on here, what's the problem. If he's spending his time on here I'll take your word for it.

I think he's "good" too, but its just that he looks nowhere near good enough for us. He looks like a step backwards.

You don´t like Jack do you? Can´t believe you have written him of so quickly I believe he´s has more potential then Garcia and will be a better addition in due time, at the moment Garcia is the better addition mainly because of his experience. Nigel is having a mare in Milan at the moment, that´s because he´s settling in and is playing in a shaky team similar to us. Don´t forget he´s only 21 and he was injured most of last year. Yaya was caught out several times on the ball and could us cost 3-4 goals but Joe saved his ass.

dont not like him he just aint good enough, you'd think he'd learn that you can't pass to opposing players and get away with it, especially in the CL. he has cost us 2 goals already doing it. he is only 21 and so time is on his side, you dont blood him though in a very tough fixture like last night.
Yaya did it several times and got away with it thanks to Joe.

He just strikes me as a guy who isnt ready for that stage yet. Criminal mistake in using him instead of Milner for that kind of situation.

Garcia and Natasic you can see have something and you know that given time they will become great players.

So far i have seen nothing of Rodwell that gives me that hope. He will never be a midfielder at our club, time to see what he is like at the back which is his position.

Poor pass against Dortmund which led to their goal.

City wouldn’t have bought him if they didn’t see potential.

Give him time to get used to being at a top class club atleast!

(Have a look at where we and Everton are in the table!)

You mean like hazard needed time at Chelsea ? (same age).
If he was gonna be good enough for us - or have the mental toughness needed for us - then don't you think we would have seen just a bit more evidence already? Top players don't always play at their absolute best from day 1 but I'd certainly expect a bit more than Rodwell's shown so far for us.
A competent mid-prem lge standard player for me, which isn't knocking him, cos that's still a brilliant level to reach.
