If someone with his reputation broke say Tevez's leg we'd all be shouting for him to be banned forever.

Seriously, unless it was a two footed, off the ground challenge then I wouldn't be asking for anyone to be banned. Shit happens, and although I'd be gutted I could still keep a level head and see that it wasn't as bad as some sections are making it out to be.

I'll throw my hat into the ring.....

A broken leg has been waiting to happen for De Jong, hes a powerful lad who holds nothing back and sometimes can be over the top...BUT.....he wasn't over the top on saturday, for me he won the ball and the leg break was accidental.
The decision from the Dutch Manager is ridiculous, how does he have the cheek to leave De Jong out after the world cup final kickathon. Van Bommel is probably the most cynical footballer around and should have had 2 reds at the world cup alone.

I see no difference with de jong lunging in the way he always does with wilkinson lunging at dembele on the touch line because both are reckless and not needed,all people want to see is de jong actually use his head and find different way of being tough,a defensive mid doesn't always have to tackle people or lung in to do his job properly.

Yaya toure at barca used to be the destroyer but how many times did you see him go to ground because some people use their heads a lot more than nigel allows himself to or maybe like some people in the dutch media have said he is just incapable of doing so because he is not clever enough and that to me in itself is very dangerous,someone said criminals keeps offending because it is down to their genes whereas de jong has been warned about his excessive force but clearly doesn't seem to learn.

I would be happy to see him banned and go see a shrink to could curb his volatile nature.

So the dutch coach drops Nige for a bad tackle and makes his son-in-law, and without doubt the most cynical player at the world cup, van bommel his captain.

van bommel and de jong are 2 different type of bad players because van bommel makes a lot of silly little fouls and is committed in challenges but can also be reckless i would admit,de jong almost never does silly little fouls but he is always lunging and flying into challenges and that to me is what makes him more likely to seriously injure another player and he has now done to 2 players and if we see clips of him i am sure he could have injured a lot more.

Give it a rest with the 'shrink' bit....FFS. A player makes a couple of rash challenges and he needs to go and have his head tested ?? Seriously, what are you on ? Fuck it, if he makes any more then lets just go the whole hog and have him carted away in a straight-jacket.....

So i guess it is ben arfa fault that de jong the thug decided to scissor tackle with more force than needed and to bend his right knee to make contact with ben arfa,you can see that de jong could have stayed up and just bugged ben arfa if he wanted to as tevez was right there next to him so he had no other way to turn to but no,the maniac that he is just can't think properly and know that being a destroyer doesn't mean lunging at every opportunity.

The problem is not that he broke ben arfa leg but more the way he tackled hatem with such force that it caused the leg break,call it luck and ben arfa being unlucky but it is too many players who have been on the receiving of stupid and needless nigel de jong excessive force to say the man isn't too overly aggressive,you just have to look at some of the youtube clips of him to know he doesn't care if he takes out someone as long as he clears everything and that to me is wrong.

Tiote was also a destroyer yesterday and you didn't see him make this sort of challenges especially so early in the game which is what really makes this injury to ben arfa the more obvious for me that de jong wanted to send a message to hatem that if you go on them mazy runs of yours this is what is going to happen so in some way scare him or make him play a different kind of game.

Nigel is a good defensive mid who just needs to learn how to decrease the force that he uses to be less reckless and cost other players well being.

P1ss of Zinaldo. There's a good lad. It was bad luck that Ben Arfa's leg was broken in the challenge. Had his leg not been broken (or injured in any way), no-one would have even mentioned the challenge.

Agree with this. It was a good tackle and the leg break was a complete accident.

De Jong should just fúck the national team off now and concentrate on our title challenge.
