Correct me if i'm wrong but i'm pretty sure Van Nisterooy genuinely never scored a goal from outside the box in his rag career, i doubt you'd find their fans were moaning about that. (note - this is not a comparison between Caicedo and RVN, and is merely intended to illustrate that no-one who's sane gives a fuck about how your main striker scores goals, as long as he scores them.)

always liked caicedo, when i was a bit more regular on 606 before i signed up here, i was always supporting and defending him when his critics were in huge numbers. think he could turn into a 15 goal a season striker in 2-3 seasons. think he shud be a 3rd striker given a good few sub appearances and around 8-9 starts next season see how he does. end of the day, there is absolutely no reason to sell him, same with a lot of our non-shit players like dunne who should remain and not be sold. a loan i wouldnt be to keen on as he needs to learn the city system and he goes away comes back knowing one team inside out and ours he dosent know a thing about.

he is still only 20 and he's got all the atributes (excluding pace???) he will be a handful once he had fully matured

I really like Caicedo. I always hope he scores out of all the bunch. He is 20 years old, we have probably never had a striker that young scoring that many goals. He found the back of the net 8 times, for a youngster, coming and playing with the senior players and scoring that many goals is a great occasion for him. It also gives him more confidence to develop and get better.
Lets not forget that strikers are there to score goals and him scoring means that he is doing his job, which will boost his morale even more.
Guys, he will improve and I am sure of it. He has shown potential this season and he is up there with the hustlers in the team. Give him time and he will come good. I think playing 2 strikers next year will only help him to score more goals, so happy days!!!!

Spot on. I've heard a lot of crap spoken about Caicedo. He must be doing something right if he is in the side before Bojinov (the apparent 2nd coming) and Sturrudge (our apparent young superstar striker).
