There's a pair of peregrines nesting in the shot tower in chester and I'm lucky enough to see them most days. Fabulous to hear them crying out to their mate everyday.

We have loads of Red kites in Leeds now, even over the inner city built up areas, they seem to be heading south at a decent rate of knots, lovely birds, could watch them all day :)

UUblue if you do not see any birds on Mull you need to go to spec savers. Can I recermend the Fish Cafe in Tobermory fantastic sea food.

That's one of the restaurants we always visit. Looking forward to going again. The Boat House on Ulva is good also.

We may go on the Eagle Watch tour this year.

I'm no twitcher, but I'm quite an avid birder (although not a very good one, as my ID skills are terrible).

Has anyone else seen or heard the ring-necked parakeets over the Etihad. Used to see them occasionally on the way to the ground when I used to park up in Beswick.

Got loads of interesting birds up here that I never saw when I was growing up in the North West, and the Northumberland coast is a bit of a birding mecca, as a boat trip to the Farne Islands in May/June is one of the country's best wildlife experiences, with thousands and thousands of puffins, guillemots, razorbill, and dive-bombing arctic terns

I do a fair amount of birding and it's great on that coast.
Mainly the usual suspects in the city here, but as me and the missus often say - they're our usual suspects!

Puffins are always a treat to see, several years ago I built a fishing lodge on a small Island in the Aleutians, about a two hour boat ride from Kodiak. As soon as we'd leave the port we'd have a flying escort of hundreds of puffins flying a couple of feet above the ocean all around the boat, guess they thought we'd feed them

Highlight for me so far this year was seeing Lanner Falcons when we were climbing the Risco de Famara on Lanzarote.

Also, on the same day Mrs C. spotted a Hoopoe in the undergrowth, which is her birding highlight of 2014!

In-laws have a house near Alicante, and we have our holiday there every year.... and just love the exotic species we can see within a couple of miles of their house... hoopoes, roller, flamingos, bee-eaters, purple heron, even occasional vultures a bit further afield.

Spotted a couple of Magpies, Canadian Geese, pidgeons and some Seagulls....nothing as exotic as yourself but that's Salford for you.
We get a lot of bats about at dusk in Cheetham! oh and the odd Heron trying to get the neighbours Coya Carp.
