Forgot it was also blackpool v Sunderland so the chain hotels are quite expensive.
Any tips for decent places??

Pubs in the centre of Fleetwood are all pretty crap.... roughly a 30 mins walk is my local Rossall Tavern from the ground, decent beer (Boddies etc) but a mile from the nearest tram stop Broadwater.

Norbreck Castle is a delightful dump.

That's where City used to stay back in the 50's / 60's / 70's when Blackpool were a top club

Assume it was a bit better back in the day

There's a premier inn in Bispham where I stayed for a kids football comp a few years ago. It's walking distance from a few half decent boozers

Don't drink the water.

Reminds me of my first trip to Spain 15 years old in the mid seventies, woke up dehydrated in the middle of the night, nothing to drink so drank the tap water. what a mistake, fuck me was i ill, two days of projectile vomiting.

Beats paying over 50 notes to stay in a shithole hotel.
