I watched the game in the Printworks and had two sat behind me cheering every move from Sunderland, I was very very close to lamping the big fat ugly twat who HAD A GO AT ME when City equalised, my wife and daughter stopped me from flying in, other City fans in there aplauded me standing up to the c**ts.. They
got turfed in the end and I had a pat on the back from other blues and plenty of kisses off the city girls in there, and even a united fan (said i should have hit them) was on our side, after it all calmed down it turns out the knobs were pissed up aussies trying to be clever, I think they may be a little quieter next time in manchester, MY last words were its Partizan in Manchester fuck off.

actually i find it pathetic that people are scared of their own shadows and can`t stand up for them selves... weak people these days.

Some of sunderlands top lads being naughty boys in the city end. The claret was flowing.

I witnessed this and thought it was crazy why the Sunderland fans in there would waste money buying a ticket to be thrown out celebrating so early in the game. Plus the ten men city fans wading into them. I thought it would have been nice to have kept the sunderland fans that were giving it out when they scored in their seats and have some of it back during our two goal blitz.

The Mackems are a good bunch, there are good relations between our two clubs, and I'm genuinely sorry to hear about this. But I'll tell you. Everybody knows the rules.
Many years ago, I went to Highbury with a mate who was a lifelong Arsenal fan to see Arsenal against us. He always went on the North Bank, of course, so I went in with him. As I went in, I said "Do you think I should take my scarf off, it's a bit provocative, isn't it?" He said, "Nah, no bother at all, you're alright here'. I was uneasy, because as I say, we all know what the rules of behaviour are. I admit I was a bit lippy during the match, shouting for the lads — we got slaughtered 3-0 by the way — and sure enough someone jumped on me at the end. My mate interceded, and it was all over in a few seconds, but I knew that, basically, I was in the wrong. I might add that I was the only person on the entire North Bank wearing a City scarf. When you're on enemy turf, you stay discreet. Everybody knows it.

Some of the stuff on here is cringeworthy.

I went to the Calcutta Cup game at Murrayfield recently and to the Premiership final at Twickenham last May. Fans of both countries/clubs sat together with neutrals and it was all good natured without a spot of bother. Just proves that many football fans are complete neanderthals and it's no wonder the police take such a dim view of us.

Each sport has its own fan culture and mentality and to compare the two is just empty idealism.

Football will never have supporters peacefully mixing together within a ground or at least not without the underlying threat of it all kicking off at some point. That's just the way it is sadly.

You might as well have said "Why the need for a moshpit at an Anthrax gig? I went to see Celine Dion last week and everyone sat there perfectly respectfully throughout"

Well said Tudor lad, football fans are tribal and to compare the two sports is poor PB. I don't condone violence but what I saw you could understand the reaction from our fans because of the provocation by the Mackems in their celebration towards our fans, aimed at women and children included.

I was one of the Sunderland fans in block 544, there were over 20 of us sitting together. We were sold the tickets under the influence that they were in the Sunderland end and on the day the tout claimed he could only get them in the city so we had to make do.. We paid 200 each for these tickets..

When Borini scored there 3 idiots that went apeshit which was completely stupid, idiotic and wrong..

After some city fans went completely mental (understandably) a steward came up and said he would get us new seats and some of us got up and left.

I'm a 16 year old lad who was with my dad and my 14 year old brother. When we were being escorted down a had coins thrown at head, grown men kicking me on the side and my brother also had coins thrown at him.

I do understand that it was the minority of idiots that done this and all the city fans I had spoken too that weekend were class, anyways just thought I would clear it up.

The tout had a very strong Liverpool accent and I have no idea how he was able to get his hands on so many tickets in the same area

I was in block 530 and the same thing happend there. Only a couple of sunderland fans but still, City fans wanted them out and they were eventually ejected.

Have to say on a more positive note I thought they were gracious in defeat when I left the stadium. Decent fans

My question is, did these Mackems in our end actually get 'ejected' from the stadium entirely.. or did the stewards try to squeeze them in elsewhere? i.e. Club Wembley perhaps

The drunken ones that celebrated when borini got thrown out because they continued to cause problems in the turnstile area but the rest of us got put into club wembley as there were empty seats everywhere

We got off the tube top of wembley way and one Sunderland fan was having a bit of friendly banter with my son and he said to him,"anyway you could n't sell your allocation of tickets and these were sent to us and we snapped them up". Makes you wonder.
We were in 542 and there were two Sunderland fans sat four / five rows in from of us. One was an elderly guy the other was a young lad probably his grandson. At half time a steward spoke to them and then escorted both of them out.

Sad when an old fella and his Grandson can't sit in a football ground and support their team,on the other hand if a bunch of pissed up halfwits are coming the big I am then sorry what do they expect.

I disagree. There is segregation for a reason, I bet the city fans around them weren't happy with having to watch what they said in case of upsetting an opposition fan.

How did you get your tickets? Sorry if you was one to get a crack off blues fans as you've intimated it was maybe the drunk ones who caused the trouble.

Said in his earlier post they got them off a tout - originally promised Sunderland end but told on the day they were for City end so had to make do. I can't imagine 20 individuals just selling like that to a tout so can only imagine it is maybe a block of tickets that may have been released to a ticket agency and the tout has picked them up from there?
