can we get a quick snapshot here, the plan is to get fans in early and turn the PA off against ajax so that our fans can disrupt the ajax fans building up momentum and so we can build our own

the club are also saying they can do the same thing for swansea at home. ie turn the PA off for 5 mins before kick off, provided people get to their seats 10 mins before kick off.

what's the view on doing this before swansea as well, 5.30pm ko, and not sure how many swansea are bringing, do we feel this is worth doing too?

could do with immediate opinions on this, cheers

I'll be in my seat, worried others may not though...

stuff will be going out on the mcfc website and by email the day before swansea, just like the league cup semi where the lights went out and the blue moon went on the screen, everybody will know in advance to get there early - we won't just be relying on flyers

While the blanket ban on smoking in the ground continues then a lot of fans (those that smoke and the mates of those that smoke will continue to leave their boozer of choice as late as possible to get to the ground just before kick-off.
To encourage people to get into the ground earlier smoking areas (like those provided by Derby County etc) are required, shouldnt be too hard to establish and will also eradicate the smoking in the bogs.

Can the club make beer £2 a pint for the 1 hour before kick-off? best way of getting people in the ground early.

Give over, get back in the "I got banned for smoking in the ground thread!"

Almost as sad.

At least they're ideas and they may make a difference.

I'd be up for doing both, but I'd suggest giving it a miss for the Swansea game. There's not that much riding on that one game therefore they'll be relatively little natural buzz around the ground. However, I'd definitely advocate this for the Ajax game. It's a big game and it's likely to be make or break in terms of our Champs League campaign.

Use the Swansea game to publicise the "event".

Plus, are we only trying to improve the atmosphere for big matches? This match strikes me as an ideal starting point.
