Blue Moon Podcast Interviews Danny Wilson

Totally agree that he's taking the flack other people should be taking but that is one reason why this position was created in the first place to have a buffer zone between the supporters and the likes of Garry Cook. This should and could have been done in a better way me thinks.

from Sheik Mansours letter after he bought the club

"As part of that, we will absolutely spend time listening to you the fans about what you think about the future of the club. We are very aware that without you there would not be a club to buy, and your voice will be heard by the organisation at the highest level. "

Between May 3 and May 7: North Stand Seasoncard holders may apply to move to any available seat, not currently occupied by an existing Seasoncard holder in any area of the Stadium. Please note that current availability in Levels One and Two of the stadium is limited. A wider choice of seats exists in Level Three of the Colin Bell Stand and East Stand

he did admit there was limited seats but he also said there was currently 9500 empty ones. What he failed to mention was the majority of those are in the Level 3, where nobody wants to sit and in all probability where the £250 value cards will be.

I can see we both have the same viewpoint on this one, and i appreciate the offer of a question. i'll pm you with it when i calm down a little and construct it so he will struggle to wriggle out of it or start his answer with "as i mentioned before"

this is exactly what the cynical side of me said from the begnning. yes there are the odd seats available in level 1 but these are mainly around the front couple of rows where no one really wants to sit as the view is shit. level 2 is the same, the odd ticket here and there. the majority of people will have to move upto the back and sides of the third tier on the more expensive tickets, again with a crap view of the game .

if the club expect people with kids to move from the first and second tiers to free up some room i think they will be in for a shock. from people i know who bring their kids to the game, theyre saying no way will they move in with the stiffs in the north stand. they will just have to fork out more for to keep their seats. not a problem maybe, but giving them a few weeks notice to find the extra money needed just aint on. i expect a lot of others will think the same.

just cannot see the north stand selling out every game. no consultation with the fans. doomed to failure. think the club have got it badly wrong on this one.

The only new thing I really learned from this podcast was what to expect in terms of Colin Bell/East Level 2 prices from 11/12. Current normal adult season tickets are £575. Executive season ticket seats (parking/programme/padded seat) are £850+VAT, i.e. they actually cost £999.

Danny's words are that they "will be priced somewhere in between those levels".

The mid-point would be £787, so in the absence of any more information I think it would be fair to budget for this sort of price if you want to sit there beyond next season. I just checked prices at Old Trafford for the equivalent seats and ours will still be a little bit cheaper, but much more in line with what they pay.

quick note to this topic i emailed danny wilson today asking a question and got a phone call back (i didnt include number in mail) within the hour top customer service i was very impressed

You cannot compare prices to those over the road. In the last 20 years we've been watching relegations, promotions and Samaras, where they have been winning things year in year out (as much as that hurts to type, it's true) They already have the johnny come latelys and all the gloryhunting fans knocking down the door for tickets thats not to even mention the glaziers ticket increases over there. We don't even sell out every week.
