Blue Moon Top 100 Bands Artists - Full List of Artists (pg 287)

Wow, that's a good connection to have, no wonder you went to so many fantastic gigs.

You've just reminded me of a "family friend" story that I'd forgotten about. When I wanted to get tickets to see Bruce at Bramhall Lane in 1988, my mum and dad didn't have a credit card. Luckily, my Mum's boss (a family friend) let us use his credit card to book the four tickets on the phone. I think the face value was about £300. Imagine his shock (and our embarrassment) when a cock-up with the bill meant that he got a bill for £3000+. I think it was sorted out quickly enough.

Good story.

Tunnel of Love tour IIRC. Pretty sure I got tickets via Barry.

I don't mind Arenas: I like big shows. Not so keen on outdoor gigs but seen some great ones.

Bryan Adams at GMex was really good but the best gig by him, and I've seen quite a lot according to my setlist account, was the one I saw at Hammy Odeon where you just knew that he would be graduating to larger venues: the atmosphere and audience reaction confimred that he was heading for the top.
Saw Adams at Manchester Apollo supporting Tina Turner I think it was mid eighties. I've kept the ticket stub.

most of these are a bit early for me. Saying that top tracks from the moody blues and the buzzcocks.
I managed twenty seconds of captain beefheart - wtf?

For a few of these artists, I have no idea of what song or video to pick so I'm relying on Googling "Best songs by ...." and seeing what comes up.

Funnily enough, just in case I need it, I did a Google for "Best songs by The Smiths" and it didn't find any.

All equally as good you see, not a duff track in their catalogue so best are too numerous to list
