To be fair at the time I liked Uriah heep as much as I liked Deep Purple. As for currently I’ve liked and bought the recent albums of both bands but preferred the Heep ones.

I like Heep but prefer Purple. Heep though were derided by the music press back in the 70's.

Nice to see Beefheart make an appearance although should be much higher of course. Trout Mask Replica is possibly the finest album ever made.

It’s an album I listened to so much in my youth that I think I overdid it and for the last 30-odd years, I can’t have played it more than once a year, while listening to all the other Beefheart albums constantly (Tragic Band era excepted).
I have the same relationship with The Fall’s Hex Enduction Hour.

I think I voted for The Moody Blues. Always been a big fan. Especially their core 7 albums. Wonderful songs and wonderfully arranged. They were bigger that King Crimson in the 70s.
