So because we used to be shit, that means we should have no standards? Come off it, these are people who are paid a lot of money and they are not doing that job well. I don’t expect us to win every week but West Brom who are in 19th shouldn’t be getting a point against us. We’ve been playing poorly for 18months and that is worthy of criticism

If we play well I’ll say, if a player does a great pass I’ll say, great finish etc..
But on the flip side of that I’ll also say, giving the ball away with a sloppy pass I’ll say, missing a sitter I’ll say..
One thing I won’t stand for is not giving your all and we aren’t doing that on the pitch or the sidelines right now.
I’ve said it before, we know longer pass with the speed we used to, we no longer move to find space, we don’t press without the ball, we do but it’s all half arsed or for small spell in the game.
Our work ethic has dropped off a cliff.
I was happy with the way we played against the scum, not particularly happy about playing in that way but more because we aren’t able to play the way we used to, so playing to our strengths so to speak.
We looked solid, hard to break down, yeah our attack suffered but thought we’d find a balance, I thought we’d turned a corner.
But yesterday we didn’t even really try, looked shaky at the back, slow in midfield (except Gundog) and up front, well we all know.
We didn’t look like we cared.
So again I’ll say.
If wanting my players to work hard and play to their strengths makes me spoilt, then I’m spoilt.
I don’t expect centurions football every week, but I do expect some effort and some pride.

and that is fair comment, but not once in your post did you call someone a coward, wanker a fucking fraud,ect ect ect or constantly slag city off for everything they do on and off the pitch, or make snide remarks, no one should be happy about they way we played last night, even though i wouldn't go as overboard as some on here.

There is this underlying view in this forum that we were shit 30 years back so any win that we get nowadays is a bonus. The view where meritocracy must be despised because we were at one point of history playing in second division. The reasoning that Pep must not be questioned because we played some lovely football two seasons back. The fact that we should keep quiet about a West Brom draw because we lost 8-1 to Middlesbrough 12 years back when Elano was playing for us.
We have a billion dollar worth of squad, we are an international brand sometimes we should/can behave like one without forgetting our roots. And staying grounded for fuck sake does not mean accepting mediocrity when we can/should do better.

That’s what the report button is for, tbf. If stuff isn’t reported it’s hard for us to deal with as the sheer volume of posts on here means not everything gets seen.

West Brom who are in 19th shouldn’t be getting a point against us.

You're not the only person who has said stuff like "How can West Brom have gotten a point against us when they are 19th!!!" Or "title winners don't drop points to relegation candidates" or "This wouldn't have happened in Kompany/Mancini's day because we cared then" in the last 24 hours but you've been one of the most vocal with it and everytime I've seen it I've been baffled.

Mancini's title winning side drew to 18th placed Fulham, 17th placed Sunderland.

Pellegrinis title winners lost to 17th placed Cardiff (who finished 20th), lost to Sunderland in 19th place (where they finished), drew to 15th placed Norwich (they got relegated)


Relegation candidates taking points off top sides competing for titles happens every single season.

Its very clear that Guardiola's 100 point standards have completely destroyed some peoples rationality around dropping points, although even the greatest side in English football league history dropped points to then 17th placed Crystal Palace and 16th placed Huddersfield.

Chelsea drew with West Brom as well, and a significant number of people on here think they are title challengers.

Abuse and calling for manager to be sacked absolutely not warranted.
Some of the ire being vented on here is out of order for what’s happening.
Some need to learn to take the rough with the smooth a bit better.
