Boateng to Bayern

We'd be stupid to sell him and not make a profit.

True and he was bought for only 10million.
Manicini wasted his potential by playing him at fullback in most of his games. He is obviously a CB. In a few years we will be regretting Mancini's poor managing of Boateng as he will be a dominate force in the defence for many years to come for Bayern.

Good luck to the lad

For people like you and everyone else saying he should've played Centre Back, he did. A few times actually, I remember especially Juve at home, and he was awful. Del Piero walked through him at one stage, get rid of the mard-arse.

Exactly! The boy has fantastic potential - far more than Lescott & Toure. This would be another crap decision by Mancini.....................he's obviously a CB and could just form the best partnership in Europe with Kompany.

Why use this situation to beat up on Mancini. If the lad is desparate to leave then it would be a poorer decision to keep a disgruntled player. It has nothing to do with Mancini.

funnily enough golden balls made a very similar accusation re mancini

If he wants out then I have no qualms with selling him.

Good luck to the lad, just make sure we make a profit.

The reason we got Boateng for only £10m was he was going into the final year of his contract with Hamburg, had he not been he would have cost us around £18m.

He has since had a magnificent world cup followed by an injury hit season. We should not be getting any less than £18m from those chancers FC Hollywood. I remember Uli Hoeness being very disparaging and condecending about City's rumoured interest in Frank Ribery over a year ago, the arrogant g!t!

We should not be letting Boateng go cheaply, we should not be messed around. Especially as we will be playing them in the Champions League (mark my words) and I don't want us to be a soft touch.

Philip Lahm anyone?

I thought he was the manager? Better hope it does have something to do with him...................

And you'd be wrong..................remember this post mate, for when Real Madrid take him from Bayern for 50m in two years time when he's the best CB in Europe.

All those saying he'll be the best centre back in Europe in a few years time can't be basing that on any performances he's made for City. He lacked positional sense, at both full back and centre back, he looked dozy and showed a serious lack of desire and fight. He might do ok in the Bundesliga or Serie A but he wasn't cut out for the Premier League and there's no chance he'll be one of Europe's best defenders.
