Boateng to Bayern

agreed, doesnt punch his weight in the air for a big lad,not strong enough for a premiership centre half imo

If Nedum can persuade Mancini that he still has a role to play, we may not miss Boateng too much anyway.

IMO all Ned has to do is say, out of order boss, sorry, want to fight for my place, won't be doing any more interviews on TV, have learnt me lesson.

Why doesn't Carlos get the same abuse on here. He has said and done far worse things than Boateng.

now you're getting it- 'cos when it comes down to it, many City fans here are showing themselves to be just as bad as rags..................no principles.

This isnt happening. One we gave his number away to Kompany, you dont do that to a player you plan on keeping. Second he would be third choice at RB behind Richards, and Zab, and possible as low as 5th choice at CB, after Kompany, Lescott, Kolo, and either Boyata or a new signee.

He was a first team player at Sunderland so he is gonna come here to be a squad player that plays about 10 games a year? Doesnt seem likely to me.

All those saying he'll be the best centre back in Europe in a few years time can't be basing that on any performances he's made for City. He lacked positional sense, at both full back and centre back, he looked dozy and showed a serious lack of desire and fight. He might do ok in the Bundesliga or Serie A but he wasn't cut out for the Premier League and there's no chance he'll be one of Europe's best defenders.
Maybe that is the point. Maybe we aren't making the claim based on his 3 or 4 appearances at CB this season. To do so would be pretty shortsighted.

Those saying he is gash, however, do seem to be looking only at his very limited experience at City which is why they will be proven wrong.

Bottom line: you do not sell a young starter from the German national team.

Yet another example of why it's not wise to mess with Mancini. He's the boss - no doubt.

Totally agree. Plagued by injury and no chance to shine. This lad is good, one of the most sought after young defenders in Europe when we bought him.
Shame it didn't work out.

I don't think it has to be over. Sit him down and tell him he will get 30 games at CB next season if he stays fit. Earning a starting spot in our defense is plenty good enough to make it in the German national team. Bayern is a traditionally big club but we will eclipse them next year. If he wants to leave after that its his loss. If he really is gash, then we at least sell him knowing we haven't given up on one of the brightest talents in Europe. Neither party should be parting ways until both have had a chance to show what they can be.
