Bobby ain't happy! (The Mail.....)

Re: Bobby aint happy! (The Mail.....)

Bob publicly denies wanting Maicon this week and the report says Maicon is on his wanted list.

Bullshit story.

Right,

1, Bob has just signed a 5 year contract.

2, We only need cover for Centre Half.

3, A week left still,

4, If we didn't make a single signing from now till deadline day we still have the best squad

and 5, Stop reading utter wank

Agree with all of this, continuity of the team is whats needed.

Ps Re Marwood I think there is friction which our new CEO will deal with

You don't want to go listening to things like Mancini's press conferences, why would they tell the truth ? I'll quote waht was posted higher up again, by the person who knows the person who gave this "story" to the mail.

I know who said it! On Bobby's coaching team and very close to the manager and 100% true at the minute! People are dismissing stuff too easily at the minute, very unsettles ship behind the scenes and a big week coming up in the future of Roberto Mancini and our Manchester city.

I've watched some of the videos, and listened to the conferences, and I don't see any sign of a "very unsettled ship behind the scenes".

I'm sure Mancini does want more players, we all want more and better, but he already has pretty well the best available, and he'll just have to get on with what he ends up with.

Stop reading the press, its made up bollacks. Only last week the Mail and Sun reported we were interested and bid 30 million for Luiz only for City to officially deny it on our website.

Let's blame Marwood brigade! So Marwood just works to his own mandate then? Utter bullshit!

Listen to Mancini's press conference when he talks about Martinez and the stupid money they want reading between the lines the club have decided that they won't be taken for mugs! Sooner or later you have to stand firm and tell over clubs to do ONE
Good post, I asked this in the tarnsfer forum a couple of days ago, but of course got no answer.

If Marwood is so bad at his job, why do Khaldoon, the board, and the owner not just sack him right away ? There is only one answer, they don't because they think he's doing a good job. If they are so badly wrong then maybe its Kahldoon, the board, and the owner that need to go.
whilst I'm no great fan of Marwood, I totally agree that this rush to make him the bogeyman is unedifying and ignorant. Our budgets and transfer policy is governed in Abu Dhabi. He is in effect their lapdog.

Of course you do. Thanks for the heads up.
I assume by 'coaching team' you mean someone from the bus depot.
Congratulations! Another wonderful response of this flagging forum! Decent info is getting sparce due to pricks like you! Am lucky with one contact at mo, even eats lunch with bobby most days! Anyways, enjoy your weekend lads.

Anybody who questions him is. " a prick" I got it the other day he claimed he had a mate working at City wouldn't,t answer the question, because it was my fault TH left

Unless the source is named it's not worth taking notice of.

I'm no great fan either, but clearly they don't see him as a problem (up to this point anyway). The clamour on here to get him sacked by those who can't cope because we haven't signed Messi 3 or 4 times this summer is frankly ridiculous. We do need to strengthen the squad I wouldn't deny that, but any strengthening required is imho minor, and mostly required as cover for our main men.

Its about opinions. None of us know for certain what's actually happening behind closed doors, but one thing is for certain & that is that Mancini has vented his frustrations at our lack of signings publicly.

I'm not the manager & neither is anyone else on here, so if our FA Cup & Premier League winning boss says he needs quality reinforcements, I'll go with Mancio thanks.

Again if its about opinions, I'd be pissed if I knew what tools I needed to complete my job to a high standard but was being denied the support. Its not about the squad we've got, it's about the squad we need to compete effectively on all fronts.

Someone mentiond that it was just paper talk that we needed to sell before we buy because of FFP. I know we have 6 dys before the window slams shut & anything can happen in that period, but looking at this transfer window so far, you'd be forgiven for thinking this must be the case.

Again I agree that Marwood is probably under orders from Khaldoon as to what we can & can't do, but Mancini is too smart an operator to have a go at anyone in Abu Dhabi & this is why making comments about Marwood is his way of making his feelings known to the powers that be indirectly. Whatever the case, if I was Mancini I'd be pissed but not pissed enough to talk about leaving.

Like has been said before, why is this any more unbelievable than anything TH posts. All comebacks also seem to include the - 'it's not FIFA/FM you know we can't keep spending' Mancini was promised a big signing for winning the league, bar Rodwells signing (who IMHO doesn't really improve the squad in the necessary place) we have stood still while our closest rivals have improved (almost 10 fold in Chelseas case). We actually NEED players in look at our squad to see that -

GK's
Hart Fine in this dept
Pants

FB
Micah (made of glass)
Zabs Fairly ok in this dept
Clichy
Kola

CB
Komps
Lescott Good starting 2 but no strength in depth at all
Kolo
Savic

CM
Yaya
Barry
De Jong (? Over contract) Pretty good but no Yaya replacement for Acon
Rodwell
Nasri
Silva

Wingers
Milner Even I can see we don't have enough

Attack
Aguero
Tevez Again, no problem with forwards
Balo
Dzeko

We really need to improve the CB positions, increase numbers with wingers and have a Yaya type player or a deep lying mid in back up.
To improve a squad like ours the players coming in need to be good enough for the rigours of 4 competitions which may mean 1 more season of spending, Hazard would have been perfect, as with Agger and DDR. We wouldn't have pulled out of the Hazard deal if Mancini had carte blanch with transfers. Someone is cocking up transfers and I'm fairly sure RM's 1st or 2nd choices of players were not Sinclair or Rodwell. Remember, someone nearly fucked up agueros transfer before Khaldoon stepped in.
