BOGOF

In a week where the price of football has been heavily discussed the irony would be other clubs mocking this. I think it's good city have done this and learnt from the mistakes against Roma. All cup games should be like this and the occasional midweek premier league game imo

CSKA at home free tickets?

Popped onto city ticket website to see how many seats were left for the cska game on the 5th november and i clicked 2 seats in south stand level 1 block 111 row j - I added the 2 seats to my basket and clicked on it i saw the 2 tickets one being £10.00 and one being £0.00 (yes free) i clicked the red x for the £10.00 one and was left with the free one I clicked checkout and placed the order and had an email confirmation come through like normal!

Im not on any cup schemes, just buy tickets to games i can get to as i live in west midlands just wondering if anyone else has the same problem?

(MODS MOVE IF IN WRONG THREAD)

Re: CSKA at home free tickets?

It was mentioned at the match today that it's buy one, get one free. If you've already bought one, you can claim a free one. Can't therefore see that you'd be allowed to just have the free one, though.

For those of us on the cup scheme who've already paid, the word from the club seems to be BOGOF.

Didn't buy any others just the free one and email came through? just wondering if the ticket will be posted though

So we're on the cup scheme, so have paid for the two tickets. We can now claim two extra free tickets we don't need. But if I hadn't been on the cup scheme, I could now have just bought one and got the other free.

Can really see the point of being on the cup scheme...

Well clearly the club can't. Plus selling a ticket for more than face value is touting, unless you do it on Viagogo, which is somehow immune.

My point is, having already bought the two tickets I wanted by being part of the cup scheme, I'm now worse off than some tourists who can get a couple of tickets for £6 each. I'm all for the club attracting new fans and reducing the costs of tickets, but they can't start screwing over fans who've bought into supporting them regardless.

Yes it's a great offer but let's have it right other clubs will rip the piss out of us as we would them at having to give away tickets for a potentially vital champions league game
Bingo.

I doubt other clubs will be ripping the piss, it will be mostly Internet fans who rarely go to games anyway and possibly rag journos latching on to stir the shit and to receive Internet hits.
Genuine football fans understand how expensive it is to follow your team these days.

Our fan base is growing but we can't compete yet with international and national institutions such as the rags and dippers.

Maybe giving a refund of 50% to cup scheme members would have been a good way of dealing with this as well as what they are doing.

I'm not really sure of the value of two free tickets to someone who is already going.
