Bond films

Whilst they're on Prime I'm watching the earlier ones I haven't, they're superb!

Can't choose a favourite Bond, as they're all great apart from George Lazenby, heard he was tw*t despite OHMSS being a good film.

OHMSS is a good film. Pity that Lazenby was so wooden in the lead role. And, apparently, Diana Rigg (GRRR!) couldn't stand him. Kojak also decent as the villain with lobe-less ears.

One of the pleasures of retirement is having time to do shit. And do shit you should, otherwise you become a bit brain dead.
I've decided to watch all the Bond movies early next year, in sequence, they're all on Stan. an Australian streaming service similar to Netflix.
I'm going to be open minded and give even Tim Dalton and George Lazenby a chance. :)
Giving each one marks not just for the actors, but for direction, storyline, cinematography etc.

What's your favourite, if you have one. ?

The Dalton ones are brilliant. Ahead of their time.

A view to a kill is a cheeky favourite of mine, Moore was too old though and had dalton done this one it may even be a top 3 one. Certainly had the best theme.

Connery - good at first (Goldfinger and the one when he gets the dodgy Japanese makeover) but pushed on too far in competition with Moore and the less said the better of that snide version he did.
Moore - good at first (Live and Let Die & Man With The Golden Gun) but became a parody in the end.
Lazenby - love his film, good story and one of the best soundtracks. Not enough info to judge his acting skills, some scenes good, some a bit like the later Moore stuff.
Dalton - should have turned it down. Possibly/probably the best actor (by that point and maybe after too) but definitely the worst films due to all the fallout from the legal stuff going on. They tried to modernise the character but it didn't work too well.
Brosnan - movies were better, probably because he was the one they wanted when Dalton took the role.
Craig - will be difficult to follow. Liked them all apart from Spectre which I think should have been his last. Skyfall & Casino Royale the best Bond stories of all for me.

I'm hoping they pause the canon for ten years or so after this new one. Just write some stories for a female agent for a while, but don't replace JB with a female actor, it'll spoil it.

Skyfall is the worst Bond movie out there. Watch it again and realize that Bond does literally nothing in this movie. It’s literally acted around him. Fails in everything he does in it. It’s a gorgeous movie that forgot James Bond is meant to be it’s star.

Retirement = watch all “BOND films”…………
Was this a typo?? Should have been
Retirement = watch all “PORN films”!!!
Best Bond was Sean Connery followed by Russ Abbot.
