Booing the Champions League Anthem

If it was up to me I would walk away from it, the whole comp. I guess the players need it, the owners, Need it, the sponsors insist on it. But ffs it’s been nothing but stress !

I wish we could tell them to shove the champs league where the sun doesn’t shine

I think UEFA are "allowing" us a bit more acknowledgement in their corrupt comp. I don't think we've had a baffling red card now for 2 seasons. Whereas our first few seasons we seemed to get 1 every game. Clutching at straws but it is progress and I still boo the anthem.

Your right its nothing but stress
I want to win it but only because the world and his dog says you have to win it if your to be taken seriously
The other thing is, we have a team that can walk the prem,but now we have to carry on spending so we can win the CL
 
It is the pinnacle of club football in Europe. For that reason alone, we need to be in it. And, obviously the club sponsorship deals are all premised on the fact that their logos will be in front of the cameras all over the world for 6 months!

It is the yardstick against which the best teams in Europe are measured, and it is harder than ever to win, given the amount of money sloshing around the game now. It is a primary driver of the need of Britain’s top teams to spend heavily each year, and why the Premier League TV contract has to be nurtured at almost all costs. It is what pays for most everything!

But, that doesn’t mean I can’t boo the anthem!
 
I boo and will continue to boo and when we win it I'm booing the fuck out of their shitty currupt anthem.
 
Go on then. Ignoring the European Champions Cup and counting only the Champions League (which is what I posted), since 1997, the last 20 years, Barcelona have won it 4 times, Real Madrid 6 times, Bayern, AC and United, despite overwhelming domestic dominance, have won it twice and 4 others once. I think that supports my post. Think we can win it twice in 20? Never mind 4 or 6 times. It's a tall order to win it once. And I think making it an explicit target is making a rod for your own back.

And if you go back to the first final in 1993, to this day it's never been won by a team that didn't become a member of the G14 in 2000. So yeah, I reckon it's not going to be easy.

I think we can beat that record of one of the biggest sporting clubs on the planet by the end of the next decade, never mind after 45 years!
