Views he seems to share with 90% of this forum, at least he's got his finger on the pulse.

:0)
Can you point me to the thread where 90% of bluemooners have stated this happened

We do all say they love being victims though, Candlelight vigils and alike are common place remarks in Liverpool threads

Thanks.

Not sure I agree with that bit. He's more astute than many in the media give him credit and certainly intellectually more capable than the image painted of him as a buffoon and toff. He's ferociously self-aggrandising, I grant you, but he manages to be so in a manner that somehow finds genuine appeal with the core constituents in the south of England, and they often decide who will lead the Conservatives.

Too true. People can slag him of if they want, because of his background, but the guy is highly intelligent, actually has a sense of humor and unlike DC is capable of conversing with people, regardless of their background. Personally, if it was a toss up to having him backing me up in a punch in the Whalley, or Joey Barton, I would rather have Boris.

I fucking wouldn't.
The Bullingdon bullshitter would be phoning his chauffeur and off like a shot.
So he got a first in classics and has a sense of humour.
And?
Pol Pot probably had a stock of great one-liners too.
He's still a prat, and I don't give a fuck if a bunch of dim cockneys prattle on about him sorting the underground out.
Mussolini made the trains run on time, and he was a **** as well.
I don't hate him for being a toff - I hate him because he is a prick.
It's that simple.
No class war,no smoke,no mirrors.
Why a bunch of working class/middle class northerners are falling over themselves to welcome him to their bosom simply baffles me.

Only saying he has done well as Mayor which is a fairly big job in politics. Don't want to be called dimwitted because its obvious he has done a good job, yes its London and quite fairly im sure no one north of Watford could give a flying fuck. It still doesn't detract from the fact he has done a good job in his position.
I keep hearing he is dangerous and a prick but I haven't heard a reason why? If someone could point some things out I would happily read them

Are you a cockney?
If not,then stop being offended-by-proxy.
Look at his nodding dog acquiesence with the tories more hard-line policies.
The man is very much to the right of his party on almost every issue.
Forget him looking like a confused son of Dumbledore, the man stands foresquare with his back benchers.
And they are utter fucking fruitloops.

No I am not a cockney, I sound like one though. Its a curse I must live with

I know little about the hardliners on either side or what they want. Pretty central in my leanings (makes little sense that).
Im not sure why anyone worries about the backbenchers on either side anyhow they have less power than my 20yr old black and decker drill and are about as useful. Right winger could come out and say lets kill all Muslims but im fairly sure it would be voted out

Fair play, but if he ever got the leadership gig, then he would have far more influence regarding direction and policy.
And that worries me.
If the tories do get fisted,(if we can still say that word),at the next general election, then there will inevitably be a kneejerk lurch to the right, and that will mean either Mad Mike Gove or Son Of Dumbledore as heir apparent.
Both of whom would readily be certified by any shrink worth their salt.
Not an ideal scenario.

I think the Tories would go for "Son of" if they wanted back in as he would drag people back with his character. As if expected Labour get back in with a fairly large majority, it would be interesting to see what they push through as Blair missed his chances back in 1997 im sure they wouldn't pass up the chance again

Johnson is a very, very dangerous man.

Because..............?
For reasons already stated in the thread. Here is an extremely intelligent and intellectual man, a career politician and political animal. His modus operandi is to portray himself as a bumbling, bimbling idiot.

One has to ask what is his motive for this?

Anyone who can succesfully hoodwink the public to get themselves voted into any position of power in such a manner is a dangerous person in my humble opinion.

Knowing that he is not the character he portrays, would you trust him? He is lying to you about something as fundamental as who he is; why would he not lie about anything and everything else?

He is conning the electorate.

Dangerous, dangerous man.

Hold on there, believing he would actually be more use to me than a cold cock specialist like Barton, doesn't mean I'd vote for him. However, why is he a prick and not line my own pockets Ken Livingston?

If you read the last page or two,I have explained exactly why he is a prick.
Did I say Livingstone wasn't a prick?
He was a shameless self-promoting wanker who is miles away from socialism.
But the biggest difference between him and Son Of Dumbledore is that he will never lead his party, and possibly the country, whereas Doris could.
