Not sure what on earth we were doing until the game changed with the subs. Poor first half and poor 15 mins or so of the second. Pace of play was snail like. Bernardo, Foden and Alvarez added energy and drive. I think Haaland and telescopic legs, must be his incredibles like super power. Fantastic strike by Stones, reminded me of Vinny against Leicester.

Would like to see Jack given a go centrally, he could receive the ball on the left for Villa and drive into acres of space, for us he faces a parked bus. Foden just has so many more tools to create from that position as a player.

Grealish in the middle can go either way running at defenders, will receive the ball in better positions to play Haaland through and his ability to retain possession under pressure will be good to escape a press. Feel like we have seen enough of him on the left to know its not really working. The lads definitely not a shit footballer, has an excellent touch and always wants the ball. Just needs that game where everything goes right and he grabs a couple of goals and he'll be flying.

Made hard work of a boring methodical German team , certainly not at our best ,but it takes two teams to make a football match . Its tiresome listening to pundits glorifying defensive negative performances from opposition teams , Dortmund contributed virtually nothing to any entertainment value.
Appreciate some opposition teams do not have the quallity to give us a game but Dortmund do have quality in their team they just didnt want to show it .As for Bellingham he is a neat and tidy footballer but will never be the game changer pundits are trying to make him out to be.
Job done , a couple of exceptional moments from our players won the game , this team always seems to find a way , its a great trait to have.

we pushed ,were sucker punched. They played the defensive game ,seemed to have swung it until the stones and Haaland show. Credit to the whole team!

Robbie Savage did my head in......
From 25 mins and EVERY 5 mins after saying he can't believe we hadn't had a shot on target. It'sall he said!
Then when 2-1 (think it was 87th minute) Silva had a shot saved.
Savage declares it was the first shot he'd save all game!
