He’s played almost every game this season as a defensive midfielder, one as a CB, including the games against us. Could be OM trying to create a bidding frenzy.

He's a centre back in the same way Zinchenko is a number 10.
Kamara appearances at CB this season: 2
Kamara appearances at DM this season: 41
Last season he made 12 appearances in midfield and 16 in defence.
Long term Ferna replacement he strikes me as.
Guardiola sees him as the perfect substitute for Fernandinho. City have sounded out the player’s entourage and have supervised him from there Champions. But another big club guaranteed him a starting place in central defense.

So, perhaps either Kante’s understudy or Fernandinho’s. However, neither Chelsea nor ourselves would promise a starting berth to an established international, let alone to someone so young and so inexperienced, so that suggests another club.

Sounds like Fernandinho is staying though.
The club will definitely have lined someone up by now in case he wasn't going to stay.
Could be that these links came about because we were looking and come to nothing because Fern decides to stay.
