Bournemouth (A) | Post Match Thread

Pep is trying to find a way to create more opportunities as all teams sit back and defend deep against us

We know we are risking being attacked down our right but we are creating more clear cut chances now.

Also by putting Foden on the right or Mahrez inside and Walker overlapping as against Leipzig he is creating space and speed, that has been missing

I much prefer this system and when Stones is back it will work even better

Hopefully we crack a new system and beat the bus parkers. We need to be more cautious against fast counter attacking teams like Liverpool's and the rags though.

Have no idea why Walker came on at the end, other than to bring on my migraine.
10 minutes of poor football from him.
I’m getting more and more convinced that this is Walker’s last season with us. He’s been fantastic for 5 years but his level has noticeably dropped.

I am struggling to understand why Akanji is coming in for stick from some quarters.
I think it was the same when Ake first joined.
To me he has looked composed and calm. His distribution is pretty good and I can’t recall him doing anything stupid so far
It’s his first season in the team and PL.
I would say all in all he’s settled in pretty well despite having had to play with a different CB most weeks and hasn’t let us down.
Cut the guy some slack. He looks a good player to me.
Well said. Yet another solid performance and reads the game so well.
