Boyata

Getting sent off didn't change my opinion of his performance. He should have been the first one to be taken off. Moves broke down every time he got the ball and he looked clueless and off the pace when defending.

Don't think we will see him again, mind you I hoped that when he got sent off against Arsenal after just a few minutes. A liability and nowhere near good enough.

I am afraid it is a case of needs must mate, we only have Zabba fit although if not needed elsewhere i suspect Milner could do the job.

Given that Boyata is not the answer as cover at right back who do you feel should be given a chance there from:
Denayer,Facey,Bossaerts or Drury.

Facey for me, Boyata is 23 now and sadly not improving his presence in the squad is holding back other young defenders. I'm sure Boyata will have a good career somewhere but he's not at the level we need for our squad.

Thought he was the best player on the park his energy passing and his crossing was superb very unlucky to be sent off 1st foul wasn't a yellow..

I've already been fishing with that bait.

My god you lot can be harsh.
Mind you he almost never plays for us, plus he is out of position. His nerves and insecurity was easily shown.
I can only hope that he doesn't read this thread.

I agree, mate. He didn't have a good match and he deserves a bit of criticism but not derision (like the burger comment). I don't see anything wrong with his attitude and he must be hurting like fcuk about the red card.

Probably best if he does move on but there are other things amiss when we resort to playing inexperienced players out of position and when you look at some of the other lacklustre performances today.

He had a nightmare, but I'm not about to start abusing the lad. BT showed a really sad shot of him watching the game after the sending off and you could tell what was going through his mind. He must be in a world of shit right now. At 24 his future clearly doesn't lie with us, which is a shame given his early promise and that he was dropped right in at the deep end by Mancini against the rags. As others have said, his loan spells were duds and his uncertain squad status can't have done his confidence or desire any good over time.

I hope Dedryck finds a decent club who will play him properly and give him a chance, because he showed a lot of potential early on. Hopefully Kompany puts an arm round him and gives him a bit of good counsel.

Pelle must see something in him as he wasn't in the squad originally and at the stage he was promoted there wasn't an injury crisis.

I wonder why he was given another chance unless we Santa few quid for him in January.

Very poor performance from an average player. Deer in headlights and was getting ripped by their left winger. Doubt we're be seeing much of him in future.

Pretty much sums up my feelings. Not good enough for us anymore but could do a decent job bottom half prem/championship side.
Some potential in there and could turn out to be ok player
