Not good enough to be a squad player for us. He is a 3rd RB and 5th CB basically. Cant believe we dont have a good 17-18-19 year old defender to play this role and have to play a 23 year old who looked a good prospect when he was 18-19 and not since then...
If I would be him, I would want to leave to get on with my career find a weak club where I would be possibly a starter or very close to fight for a first team place, and be a regular there and then impress...
If he stays at City he will have 3 matches at most per season.
We have that Mohhamed Abu guy also, he is never in Manchester but at the club since years always playing on loan but he spends his important early years (19-23) playing a lot matches in weaker league like Norwegian. Boyata had some loan deals, but he wanst good enough there, was sent back, and now he plays the reserves games mostly. Remeber Pellegrini played Clichy and Milner as well as a right back, so he doesnt think Boyata is a good RB option, and he really isnt, Blackburn was hard for him also the stupid red card.
Based on the transfer news of the youth teams, we must be singing lot of great talents really from around the world, cant believe there is no one apart from Rekik thats a defender that could be thrown into the water in an FA Cup match for 45 minutes.
Vieira knows most of the youngsters very well, he should advise Pellegrini or Txiki every weak or something.
If Lopes is the only great talent, and even he isnt getting any chances, thats an awful perspective for younger players.
Arsenal throws in Gnabry looks great talent, MU throws in Januzaj for Pl matches as starter, also seems great talent (with great acting skills), and they arent really much older than Lopes are they?
