My bad, I wasn't really concentrating and doing too many things at once, instead of proof reading I just posted and fucked up that post.

Originally I had intended to say I hope that if this dissilusionment is true that we don't as posters just dismiss this as Barker being Sulky, and rather perhaps it's part of a larger problem our academy players are currently having getting minutes for the first team.
Ahh, I'll stop looking back through the thread trying to figure out what I missed then.

If he can't get a start for Rotherham he doesn't deserve to play in our first team.

thats ridiculous. the reason he isn't starting is because rotherham are trying not to get relegated so have been playing defensive. He was motm in his first game.

If he can't get a start for Rotherham he doesn't deserve to play in our first team.

I'm gathering this is obviously a joke, but there are people who are genuinely that stupid, & will appear in this thread saying stuff like that if the situation continues, even though Barker scored & was motm in his one game started.

Some people genuinely believe that our kids can be judged by the actions of lower league managers/players & that these characters will always play them if they're 'good enough'.

People do genuinely believe that, Nev. They are that stupid unfortunately. It's a fundamental misunderstanding of football.....

It couldn't possibly be a shit team with shit ideas, not knowing what to do with a good player with good ideas could it? No...of course not. It's Barker's fault.

As a club we need to arrange better loans and the players themselves need to be educated by the club as to what constitutes a 'good' loan, and agents need to stay away from these decisions at this age.

But I guess for the players to trust the club, the club needs to prove that it knows what it is doing with the loans, what the plan is for each individual player, and to forge better links with other clubs and managers.

This is a new experience for the club, as only a few years ago we didn't need to send our kids out on loans of the level we now need to... It was role reversal, and we were the 'lower' club looking for the right loans from the big boys to improve our first team squad!

The club is undoubtedly going in the right direction in almost every 'youth' department, but our record in this area is abysmal and needs to be looked at! Unfortunately, it appears to be a very steep learning curve for the club, and disappointingly our youngsters are suffering whilst the club builds the experience it needs in this area

Arranging a loan is difficult. If you are the manager of a championship club or league 1 there will be pressure wherever you are in the table. There is very little ground between the fringes of relegation and the few points of play offs.

The only benefit to a loaning club in taking one of our highly rated youngsters is what they can do on the pitch and that is a gamble. With pressure on it is very easy to default to the experienced senior players. If not managed carefully loan players can become squad players and meat for training, it’s very hard to pick a good loan.

What exactly are you basing Barker being "sulky" on? And what are these interviews where he "seems disillusioned with City"? (the previous poster, @Jordan CTID ).

He did a couple of interviews, one before he went on loan and then one after. Im not saying he said anything wrong in these interviews but you could tell from the general tone that he wasn't happy that he had been on the bench 10 times and had not made debut and seemed a bit fed up. Just my opinion though but i remember a few people on here agreed with me when these interviews came out
