Well Pep does apparently like to do lots of one on one sessions with players that take his eye so if anyone is going to get his head straight it's going to be Pep.
Hopefully it won't take much to set him back on the right track. He has all the tools required.

Good to hear him being name-dropped by Khaldoon in the big interview as one of the many promising talents at the club. He had a poor 2015/16 after really shining in 2014/15 when he really raised the bar in terms of expectations of him. As with all of the youngsters it'll be great to see what sort of effect Pep has on him - exciting times ahead!

Lets not read too much into Khaldoon name dropping Barker, he name dropped Jack Rodwell a couple of years back remember!

Good point haha! However I think Brandon would be more use in our first team right now than Rodwell would

I get far too giddy at things like that - I'm starting to believe Pep is a magician and that Barker will suddenly be world class after one session under Pep. Either way, it's nice to see a manager so committed and so keen to spend one on one time with players and put so much effort into improving their technique and style of play, specifically focusing it on ensuring they perform well in games. The standard drills and warm ups are great, but Pep just seems to treat training exercises as a science, checking every detail to make sure the team performs.

It's a great sign that Pep takes such an interest in our younger players. In particular Barker has a tremendous amount of raw talent. If Pep can work on his mindset and mental approach to the game then we may yet see a very, very good player emerge.

Interesting that we are seeing a bit more from training now than before and getting glimpses of Pep in 1 to 1 stuff often with younger players.

Did such one to one coaching happen before Pep came? Answer is we don't really know for certain but the chances are it did to some degree at least.

He will probably do this with most of the youth players and when given the chance see if they actually take it in.
