I think it'll be a hybrid set up and our full strength line up won't all be on the pitch together at the same time

Gundogan, Bernardo and Stones will be second half substitutes

We'll start like this

.............Ederson
Walker, Dias, Laporte, Akanji
...............Rodri
Mahrez. KDB.Alvarez.Grealish
..............Haaland

And finish like this

................Ederson
Walker.Stones.Laporte.Akanji
.................Phillips
Mahrez. Bernardo.Gundogan. Foden
...............Alvarez

Priorities in order:
no injuries to key players (so rest or sub early, use the five)
maintain unbeaten run and reach 90 points yet again
win to keep momentum and winning feel
another goal for Thor
play the team shape and players for the two finals but see priority one.

My mates just sent me a selfie with Mahrez at Manchester airport, looks like he’s having the Brentford game off, few days in the sun with his feet up

I‘d go full strength, and go full whack at the game.
Element of risk, of course, but I think this is outweighed by the worry of us losing rhythm/momentum and not hitting our levels in the finals.
There’s no possibility of us going full whack. Even if Pep told them to go full whack the only players that would do so would be those trying to win a place. It would be like one of those matches where we’re 3+ up and spend the last 25 mins playing at walking pace and just passing the ball around

Ortega will be pissed off if he’s picked. It would almost certainly mean he won’t be starting at Wembley

Same as Brighton. Strong team, make some changes, keep up a nice tempo, avoid defeat.

Ederson
Walker, Akanji, Dias, Ake
Phillips, Gundogan
Mahrez, Alvarez, Foden
Haaland

Be great to see Erling get a couple of goals - sharpen his gunman's eye before the finals. Once he's got his eye in he's unstoppable.
