He should make the short-list.I take on board your point regarding Frank. Could he be a candidate if there is a job vacancy come next July?
I'd prefer we not have to make a list at all, though :/

Yep, yellow all day long.I thought it was a foul and a yellow. It wasn't far off a scissor tackle and no way was he in control of his body. Some of our yellows are farcical but not that one.
Not every team has this 5 captains system.Players vote for the captain and the leadership team of which there are 5 in total. In today's football the fans seem to see the captain different to how the professions see it
The game is only 90 minutes once or twice a week, they spend more time than that at the CFA every day. He might be the best person and influence around the squad, day-to-day.But why have a captain when he might not play too many games
Yep, that’s where captaincy is done in football. Talking to players, ensuring they understand what is required not just on the field but off it. Encouraging youngsters, integrating new comers. If the players want to say something to the manager, they go through the captain. The game is only 90 minutes once or twice a week, they spend more time than that at the CFA every day. You may be right but I can't get my head around 5 captains. The game is only 90 minutes once or twice a week, they spend more time than that at the CFA every day. He might be the best person and influence around the squad, day-to-day.
Don't agree that 2-1 at half-time was hard on Brentford. They were absolutely better in the first 10-15 mins - they were fast, brave, had Stones, Kovacic, Gundogan, and Walker properly rattled, but then we got a grip of ourselves they immediately stopped putting combinations together in our half. Watch the game back if you can, Brentford just stop completing passes over the halfway line just around the time Haaland scores and they never really get back into the game after that. And even then, their big chances aside from the goal came from set-pieces. Then their man-to-man marking system then gets badly exposed by Ederson's long kick to Haaland and the game was gone in that moment. We should have racked up a cricket score in the second half with the chances we had, their keeper just had a brilliant game to keep them in it. 3-1 would have been a much fairer scoreline by the end.Disastrous start from City and we were lucky the game wasn't beyond us in the first ten minutes. Brentford were positive and determined to play attacking football and moved the ball quickly. That we were in the lead by half time was due entirely to Erling, and a real Eddie assist, but, as a team, we certainly didn't deserve it and it was very hard on Brentford. The second half was different again, though Brentford always carried a threat on the counter, but City were much more like themselves and we probably deserved the win.
