Brian Kidd - How long at City?

Remember his debut for City a red hot August day, Leicester away first game of 76 77 season, City there in vast numbers. Kidd had a Stormer in a 2 2 draw. He said he was amazed by City's support had forgotten Manchester passion after his spell at Arsenal. Came from behind twice felt like a win. One of the greatest servants of Manchester footy, think they should call the Mancunian Way, Brian Kidd way as he has had such success at both ends of it.

City's website says Kiddo joined City on 9th January 2009 and if so will the club mark the 10th anniversary of a legend at the game on Monday?

But looking at Wiki, he didn't join till September 2009 as Technical Director before becoming Bobby's Assistant in December.

Any historians amongst us who can solve this riddle?

It's just that if the website is correct (which it should be) then it's right that they acknowledge he's been with us for 10 years this weekend.

Can't see why they wouldn't. 10 years at the club is some feat, even for a 70 year old!

2010–Manchester City (co-assistant)

Kidd became Technical Development Manager at Manchester City in September 2009,[17] before becoming assistant manager to new boss Roberto Mancini on 19 December 2009, following the sacking of manager Mark Hughes.

His 10 years have been and gone, my friend.

Brian Kidd...Mayor of Greater Manchester!
Imagine Brian was a Scouser and he'd achieved all that but in Merseyside? Fucking hell....Brian Kidd statues, buildings, roads, hair cuts, candles,...he'd be King Scouser!

He should definitely have some kind of statue or road named after him. A new park. A bicycle repair shop.

Wonder how many other players have scored a goal in a European Cup/CL Final on their birthday.
(Maybe there's a City player born on 29 May who could do it in Istanbul?)

Footballing Royalty - don’t forget his playing career - United, Arsenal, City and Everton that’s some roll of honour - together with his Outstanding management career and achievements.

Deserves proper recognition - very few have contributed as much to football as Brian Kidd.

It will be some book when he gets round to writing it.
