Nicely sidestepped, especially given that what you are advocating is also hypothetical.Would you say at that age they have a rough idea of right and wrong, and they weren’t ten so that’s all hypothetical they were sixteen..
Go on then , I’ll bite .
Why does it matter ?
A lot of people on social media seem pretty flippant about demanding a return to capital punishment whenever horrific cases like this arise. The anger is fully understandable, but sometimes it almost feels like a competition to show who is the outraged/who can demand the most violent retribution. Are people seriously suggesting we execute two sixteen year olds?
She went from one (very popular) school in Warrington to another (decent school). These are not feral areas. Her family were pretty middle class by all accounts.I don't know much about the case. Heard the girl(?) had been moved to the school from a different area following another serious incident. More a case of asking where from, those Scouse areas of Wigan are notorious for breeding pond life.
Nor should they, especially the girl. The amount of time they spend in prison might ultimately never be ‘enough’ but equally they will never be ‘free’.
Both.To my mind, either these two are evil, or they are seriously mentally disturbed.
They've "faced justice", been convicted, and sent away.Alas even if we still had punishment to fit the crime this pair would have been too young to face justice.
Prison will likely make them worse too, they'll never be reformed by being in prison. One of the saddest events I’ve ever heard I think. Two kids that that have that type of evil in their heads should never be allowed out. If they can think that now it isn’t ever going to go away. Evil, rotten bastards.
