Legally, they’re minors. Some 16 year old are more mature than others. These two were defined as less mature than their peers by the judge in sentencing.

26 year olds will always have more maturity than 16 year olds though… ;-)

50 years ago we didn’t go out armed with a blade with the intent on using it.

Too many unprovoked stabbings today, mainly done by teenagers.

Those two may be less mature than others, but what they did was not a spur of the moment, it was premeditated.

They have been punished for their premeditated murder.

Tackling knife crime is a different issue to executing minors.

That's an emotional argument, not one that creates a functioning justice system. Anyone who suffered having a family killed would also have emotions and desires about getting revenge, either carrying it out themselves or seeing it done by the state.

It's very unlikely that it would heal their deep and eternal pain though.

I don't think anything could ever repair the pain of losing a child in any circumstance, fortunately most of us don't. But to lose one to murderers who might be back on the streets must be horrific whether them being legally dispatched would ease that pain I don't know.

Keep bringing minors into it's a bit of a red herring even if this pair and others fully deserve it we haven't executed minors in this country in over a hundred and fifty years and never would even if the liberal elite we've allowed into power we're to put it to a vote as it should have done before it was abolished.

It’s not a red herring. It’s what this thread is about. Some are advocating executing them.

I’ll leave the rest. Can’t be arsed debating “liberal elites” with you.
