Bridge to Sunderland on loan (updated)

Re: Wayne Bridge have you no shame

So between him and Ned that's 150k a week, or £8m a year, off the wage bill. Not a bad window.

Re: Wayne Bridge have you no shame

lets hope we dont have to still pay him
but i feel we will end up paying half of that wage

Re: Wayne Bridge have you no shame

So where has all that solidarity gone that was shown to Wayne during the John Terry affair business gone guys?

What has he done wrong?

Just because our current manager doesn't have plans to utilise Wayne, why should he suffer being forced to have his income cut down. Its more fool City for handing out these contracts.

Wayne (to my knowledge) has never bad mouthed city, its players or the manager, and gets all kind of dog abuse from the fans and comment even from the manager.

Whereas Nedum, who went on soccer AM and publicly criticised the manager, got brought back to the squad and got a royal send off.

Maybe its because Nedum was a blue and you tolerate a bit more from your own.

It's a shame we cant be united and give Wayne genuine best wishes. For the part he played in our improvement journey, I personally like to say thank you, good luck at Sunderland and I hope he gets a long term deal that works for him

Haha no chance. We probably had to give Ned a payoff and we definitely will be paying most of bridges wages. My bet is that we'll be paying him at least 50k a week to play for sunderland

Have to agree re WB , unless its a permanent deal while Sunderland are fairly solvent they will not be paying him what we pay him.

Sunderland like Wet Spam before are unlikely to take him on permanently unless Bridge takes a massive wage cut.

He doesn't want to play for one of the wealthier European clubs that may be able to pay him close to what he is on at City and he doesn't strike me as somebody that puts football success ahead of money.

We shouldn't have given him this deal in the first place.
