Surprised how much energy Brighton had considering they played midweek where as we had a rest yet at times looked the opposite,still it’s 3 points we move on to Dortmund now ..

Trossards goal was a great strike, defence couldnt do much from where they were.

I thought that was a very good win against a very good side. Potter and De Zerbi(?) Have done a superb job at Brighton and they played some really good football at times.

Once we went 2-0 up I thought we might get a hateful, but they really pushed us back 2nd half and we just couldn't really get going.

Great strike from KdB just when we needed it and great vision from Bernardo tor the pass. Bernardo was my MOTM today, he was everywhere and never let them settle. Throw in an assist and winning a penalty and that completes it!

Ederson needs a kick up the arse. He grew into the game but was sloppy for a large part of the game. I thought their goal was soft and she simply should've saved it. He has games like this though when his concentration just goes.

If course what can you say about Haaland? Phenomenal. It's getting to a point when "only" 2 goals in a game is seen as a "below par" game! He had no right for that first goal, it was raw pace and power and fantastic to see.

A great 3 points against a team who will be the "best of the rest" at the end of the season.

A couple of world class moments aside.....pretty poor overall,a better team would have took advantage.

We are lacking that spark....the cohesion and fluidity we are renowned for.A couple of square pegs,and continued rotation,isn't helping obviously.

We need Walker back or at least start trusting one of our kids.

With the extra week off I thought we’d be better than we were - until I saw the team sheet. Was always going to be a struggle with that set up. You can’t play Mahrez with a centre back at right back. And grealish needs Gomez to play to unitise jacks strengths. We’ve got World class players who did world class things so we got away with one today I recon

This part of season, pre the World Cup it is all about grinding results out. Brighton had a lot of energy and popped the ball around very well.

I feel we need Walker back which hopefully will happen once the World Cup is done.

A slippery opponent with pace to burn in plenty of places.

Yet again Mahrez flattered to deceive, again he misses a straightforward chance to make it 3-0, but he misses and they go up the other end and score.

I really want the lad to do well, but he's signed a new contract and there just looks something not quite right with him.

Anyway onwards and upwards with Dortmund midweek. CTID

They’re decent, but I think if we were playing Potters Brighton we might have conceded a second goal at 2-1.

They’re just not quite as good as they were

I thought they were every bit as good as Potters team.
I have not seen a team come to the Etihad for years and play so expansively.

They went man for man and were the better team for large periods.

Same old , they haven't a goalscorer and the rest of the team don't chip in with goals.

They were a joy to watch, and I bet Pep will be glowing about them.

Lucky we have a couple of worldies to swing a game like that.
