Bring Back Joe Hart

I did say last night this should be over in the bravo thread but people keep quoting me in here so i'm still here
But you're kicking off at Joe Hart videos in this thread even when the poster is at pains to say he's not blaming Joe for either, but showing they are carbon copies of goals Bravo is getting stick for.

Entirely relevant in a bring Joe back thread.

You have posted all his "mistakes" at Torino as well,it serves no purpose to what bravo is doing here,do you honestly think he is doing all the things he is here to do well or not?
As its a bring him back thread of course the mistakes he is making this season are relevant. Bravo doesn't come into it.

For a start the commentator saying he didn't have a chance.
They talk rubbish most of the time hence i turn them right down now,but did our fans say that?
Joe is not coming back as we all know
I'm going to stop posting in here as i should have done last night when i said it had gone off topic when LOTS of people where posting about bravo

So what's the answer? Because if you don't find one then it's all going to collapse around you.

It's not just the goalie as you know. Your defence is pish in relation to the company you want to dominate.

Who do you think would do the job you need doing.
That's the point. I don't think Bravo has been particularly good but I also don't think he is the problem we should be worrying about and FWIW I don't think he's been as bad as some people are suggesting. I am far more worried about how we are defending (and the chances we are missing at the other end). Yes, when we are giving away one on ones like we are then it helps to have a keeper like Joe who is excellent at one on ones (he saved our arses so many times last season it was ridiculous). But the only solution to all this is to be much better defensively and to not be so easy to counter attack because whether we have Joe or Bravo in goal, if we are defending this badly we will win fuck all. Focusing on Bravo is completely missing the point IMO.

It would have been a fantastic save if he'd kept it out and he nearly did.

I've just watched that second goal again very carefully and when the throw is taken, Silva is standing just off King and Kolarov is marking Slimani. The ball comes in and Fernando challenges the Leicester player , who just wins out. Silva has moved towards the ball and left King free while Slimani moves back a couple of yards, Kolarov doesn't go with him and no one else picks him up. So he picks up the second ball and knocks it back to King, who hasn't moved from where he was when the throw is taken. If Silva had stayed where he was at that time and just kept an eye on King, he'd struggle to get that shot away or it would be blocked by Silva.

And the goal Burnley scored was another where we failed to pick up an opposition player just outside the box at a set piece and he's got to the second ball virtually unchallenged. It's something we're very poor at generally.

It would have been a fantastic save. We allowed a Premier League footballer time and space to measure a powerful shot into the top corner. Bravo nearly saved it. His size possibly hindered him. He got a good hand to it so you could say he should have stopped it.
He didn't. I think it was a good effort, had he kept it out it would have been a fantastic save. He didn't so he's back to clownio.
Had anyother keeper been in that position, the keeper wouldn't be held responsible for it.
Having just re watched it again, what the knockers have failed to point out, King hits the ball with his instep, thus curling the ball away from the keeper, making it even harder to save.

Bravo for some reason or another has been targeted by many, not after a few months or a season but immediately.
Look at this disrespectful totally unhelpful thread.
This will only lead to negativity, it's an embarrassing thread. Our manager wanted Joe gone and a more suitable keeper in. That has happened.

Every other player who's left is in the player thread. The amount of garbage and vitriol aimed at Bravo from our own is depressing.
I've posted two videos of Hart, two goals that Bravo would be slaughtered for conceding, was Hart slaughtered? No. He was backed and righly so.
Why isn't Bravo afforded the same backing and the respect he deserves?

Fans can say it's only a forum, but first back pass tonight will be greeted with jeers and groans. Round me in 130 it will be anyway.

Hart was a fine keeper on the back of his worst season for sometime with a near Sunday league standard Euros and we looked to improve him.
He had his limitations and flaws, he will always be fondly remembered and rightly so. It's about time we all moved on.

Hear, hear. Hark now hear.....

Don't bring Hart back. Buy new decent fullbacks what should have been done at least last year. We have NO decent fullback! It's absolutely shocking.
Full back (both sides) has been an issue for three maybe even four years now.

I thought all bar Zabaleta were poor in Macnini's last season. I thought Clichy Kolarov and Richards weren't good enough then and knew Zaba was coming towards the end of his prime too. It needed freshening up at the end of that season with young long-term full backs on each side, it didn't happen.

Clichy and Kolarov were inconsistently good when we won the league under Pellegrini, an area of the pitch masked by the rest of the team's quality. Zaba was good again, but not as good and we ran him into the ground that season which saw his legs pack in.

Then all of them were poor for the next two years on the whole bar the odd spells where one might play well.

Sagna was brought in and was decent defensively but added very little over two years going forward other than two crosses home and away to Watford (one for Sterling one for Kun goals).

That's been the weakest area of our team though imo, worse than centre half for all this time. Yet we've spent £MILLIONS£ on centre halves and absolutely nothing on full backs!

This is true...£107m+ on CBs, £0 on FBs in past 3 seasons.

CB contribution to total spend on team defence in past 3 seasons: City 100%, Bayern 86%, Spurs 65%, Barca 63%, Arsenal 63%, Dortmund 55%, PSG 54%, Liverpool 49%, Rags 43%, Chelsea 41%, Atleti 36%, Juve 16%, Real 14%.

So every other top team bar Bayern has spent at least 1/3rd of their total defensive transfer spend on full-backs, and Bayern already had Lahm, Alaba, Rafinha.

Anyway sorry for taking it off-topic.
