If we don't pay the RC, what could we save? 10m max?

If Arsenal come in, could a Rice procedure be on? Can we risk a similar outcome?

If we can't sign him, who's our realistic plan B?
 
He isn't a £100 million player but that's what it's going to take to get him and he fits all our needs in midfield.

He gives us the rodri alternative when he cant play or needs a rest as a solo 6 and he can play alongside him as the double 6 or even as an 8. Signing just him and not losing anybody sorts out our midfield and gives us plenty of options. Hopefully pep drops the idea of a 6 and two 10's that is too unbalanced and we regularly see two from rodri kovacic and bruno, with Bernardo and lewis also options. That's a great central midfield.

Maybe there's a cheaper option and possibly even a better one out there somewhere but regardless, it would be £100 million smartly spent imo.

Guimaraes wouldn't be a Rodri back-up, he'd play next to him. And when Rodri's not available Pep will go for Kovacic and Guimaraes together (should the transfer come off).

Rice totally different he didn't want to move from London where all his family is!
 
Only 33% of his passes go forward. He doesn't run with the ball and he can't tackle. What the fuck are we paying 100 million for?

Mind you I haven't even seen any links other than on here so don't know why I'm getting so irritated. Surely the club know better than to lose Rico for this mug.

Palhinha is just as good despite playing for Fulham. The Valencia player is a good alternative too.
