Whilst they clearly wouldn't want to lose him, we are the best club to sell him to if he wants to stay in England. They can bring in a couple of good quality options and without European football and better luck with injuries look to push for the top 4 again. Our position in the top 4 is pretty much assured so as long as he doesn't move to Chelsea, Liverpool or the rags they have avoided strengthening a direct rival.
 
There have been very few credible pieces of news re. Bruno in the last few weeks, which you would naturally expect to filter out to the media in a purported transfer of this size, that triggering the release clause now out of the blue seems extremely unlikely to be to true in my view.
