BT Sport

I'm pretty sure TCIB is working for BT on the QT.

The first 110 pages of this thread are basically all about why BT are a bunch of cxnts. Then the last five pages is TCIB speaking in Welsh. Apparently.

Anyone reading the first 110 pages would think 'yeah, BT are a real bunch of cxnts. Where do I cancel?' Anyone reading the last five pages would just think 'fuck that, I'm off for a pint.'

Classic diversionary tactics.

I am sure the C in his name stands for ****, technical **** is bollocks or something like that. He's a Welsh ginger in any case.

So you are saying that Sevilla (who we beat twice) and who just smashed Liverpool to win the Europa League are not even a decent team...oh dear!!!!!.
Perhaps I should have said top level European teams. Yes Sevilla are a decent team, but are you classing them amongst the European elite?

They've dominated Europe's second competition for the last 3 years but have been unable to get out of the group stages of the Champions League during that same period.

Why is that relevant to the topic?
You deliberately didn't quote the preceding paragraph which changes the context of what I wrote and we all know why. So for the avoidance of doubt here it is.........

On the BT front, their pundits don't bother me one jot as I've always thought many of our fans are way too sensitive to even the slightest criticism of City irrespective of whether there's justification or not. But that's just me because I think there's way more important things to be arsed about than what Camel Gob and the Ginger Piglet say about City.

“Last week BT Sport showed a number of classic FA Cup Finals back to back in the run up to the Emirates FA Cup Final on Saturday evening. We apologise that Manchester City v Stoke City was not shown on Thursday, however it was shown on BT Sport on Saturday.”

It remains to be seen if City fans will be convinced by that explanation.

What explanation?

Conspiracy to me has always had connotations of intellect that are missing from BT. Though I think it very clear their panel have an axe to grind re: City this is somehwat secondary to the fact they are abysmal whether we are involved or not. To spend all that money on the football rights and surround it with such a shower of shite is hilarious. If they're not boring you they are actively shit stirring, I can't think of a redeeming quality.

I hardly think that putting something in the schedule belatedly after being rumbled qualifies as an explanation.

Just cancelled it myself. Coverage started below par, I had hopes but it's become unbearable, though I did like the goal show with AC Jimbo and the other journos.

Have been watching the matches with the sound off the past few months, shouldn't have to do that.

Can't believe they could make Sky look half decent, but they managed it easily.

Their so called response to the anti-City coverage is typical corporate bollocks. I am not really bothered about the flyer shite....I am bothered about the pro-United panel for all our CL games

That is what needs to be addressed ASAP

Pure Digital Mediah management - they concentrate on the core market Rags. Dippers and Arse. The result is that fans of every other club feck off leaving them with a smaller meerkat that can't sustain the business. as every paper will go bust so will BT Sport. Staggers me that the bosses can't see the problem but they just stagger on regardless.

You have just completely changed the subject of your initial post. You said that they were not even a decent team which I responded too. Now you are asking me if they are classed as European elite which is a totally different discussion. At the moment maybe four teams would be considered as elite....the two Madrid's, Barca and Bayern. Let's hope that City will become part of that under Pep over the next couple of years. In any case this discussion should not be part of the BT Sport thread.

He did further qualify decent as meaning top-level. I agree with the sentiment we were due some criticism for our performances, and I think that's where the subject of BT comes in, because the criticism was OTT and overspilled to other targets such as the fans. It's like they got carried away with the theme.

BT Sport are finished when there deal with the CL expires 'thank god' UEFA want it back to free to air 'either the BBC OR ITV should bid enough, viewing figures with BT Sport have hit an all time low

I would classify seville, juve, psg and Madrid as top level teams, all if them would comfortably beat any typical top-4 EPL team, and would have a good shot at beating barca / bayern.

Our record is won 3, drawn 2, lost 3. Which is fine, and a great deal better than our track record against EPL top-8 this season.

What I would worry about though are the two juve matches. We had the advantage in both, as juve needed to score, and we failed to shut them out it punish them on the counter.
