That's a shame. I doubt they're will be many goals next year.
Any rumours who will succeed him?
Get this appointment right and I'd back you to get a Europa spot next season.
There are a ton of rumours right now and a couple of names are:
Alex Schur (former Eintracht player and a legend at the club, however he has no experience coaching at top level)
Jens Keller (former Eintracht player as well, ex Schalke Coach)
Di Matteo (please not for the sake of god!!)
Sascha Lewandowski (youth coach at Leverkusen and he had a short spell at the main team as well)
Kosta Runjaic (currently coach at Kaiserslautern (Stadt der Inzucht)) ;)
I think Lewandowski might be a good fit, however its sad to see what the Media and some members of our board did to Schaaf. I always found that he was such a nice and calm guy, always friendly and not the worst coach either, he simply doesn't deserve to leave Frankfurt like that. Pisses me off as it causes unnecessary trouble behind the scenes and that's something everyone in Frankfurt is afraid of as we all still remember what it felt like in the early 90´s when we were not just famous for the football we played but for the added drama as well.
@alex: I don't want 1860 to go down to the 3rd division, however in the long run it might be better for them. They would finally leave the dreaded Allianz Arena, play in their ground, in their part of the town and wouldn't feel like the redheaded stepchild of Bayern anymore.
They were always the working class club of München and their identity is Giesing and the Grünwalder Stadion.
Would be a good opportunity to rebuild the team with young and hungry players and just do "their" thing instead of having to rely on their arch enemy.
Hamburg vs. Karlsruhe kicks off tonight at 8.30 German time (7.30 UK) and the second leg is on Monday at 7.30 (6.30 pm UK). Second leg was swapped to the earlier kick off as police is afraid of riots depending on the outcome.
