I'll get my prediction in early then; Bayern will start at home (obviously) to Leverkusen as there always seems to be someone half decent in Munich on the opening day. It was Wolfsburg last year and Gladbach the year before. Ingolstadt to be at home to Hannover.

I went to the Monchengladbach opener in 2013. I love the Bundesliga opening ceremony, with the national anthem and the flags of all the competing teams.
Such an obvious concept, yet strangely ignored by the Premier League.

The Premier League is the best league in the world ( obviously ;) ) Why would they need to take pointers from inferior leagues? ;)

For the reason that I've just outlined.
Regardless of the quality of football, the opening night of the Bundesliga is usually on a Friday night with a bit of pomp and circumstance. (which in my opinion is brilliant)
Also the Premier League makes the most money, but is Stoke v Crystal Palace that more attractive than Mainz v Augsburg?

I was being sarcastic!

I agree that although it may not be the most talented league in the world, for pure entertainment you can't beat Germany.

No problem mate.
I've had seven pints after umpiring a local cricket match in the Derbyshire and Cheshire League this afternoon.
Now try selling cricket to our German friends and I will be impressed.

Just get Alex-MCFC to repost all the above, that should make it happen based on his Cup draw post.
Love doing German games...Germany is such a fantastic country.

Looks like we found another volunteer to join the fun. ;)

I am up for whatever as long as it involves beer and football at some point in time.

Cricket doesnt sound very appealing I got to admit, but I might be able to live through that as well. When I went to France to tick off Strasbourg from my football ground list I somehow ended up watching some amateur ice hockey down there as well. Cricket cant be much wors than what I had to endure back then!! At least they sold beer cans at the hockey ground. ;)

I like cricket but I wouldn't want to be responsible for inflicting it upon anyone else. I would rather sit in a beer hall

Back to football please....
