widenfeller doing a joe there
He is just an awful keeper now. Was poor last season and even worse this season. Langerak needs to start for them. Goes to show what a job Wenger did with Arsenal. Henry is correct; Arsenal fans should be careful what they wish for.

3 points I didnt expect....Usually we are notorious for building up teams like Dortmund.

Anyway goosebumps moment of the evening when Seferovic scored his goal and reveiled his shirt:

Not sure if the story made it to the UK, but a couple of days back a 22 year old turkish, female student helped two younger girls in a Mc Donalds restaurant close to Frankfurt who got abused by two 18 year old guys.

One of the shitheads hit her in the head, she went down and slammed her head on the floor. Had to be taken to the hospital, but unfortunately she had to be declared braindead on Wednesday. On Friday (they day of her 23rd birthday) her parents decided to switch off life support.

Her name was Tugce and the shirt reads:

Tugce

#angel
#courage
#respect

Just another sad reminder how insignificant something like football is in the grand scheme of things.

I'm after a little bit of advice from the German based posters please, particularly those in and around Köln and Dusseldorf.

Going to City v Roma next week and on the way back I'm going to Germany for a few days. I'm in the process of ticking off each Bundesliga and the ones I'm ticking off this time will take me up to 12 out of 18 (plus a few lower league grounds).

Anyway on Sunday 14th December, I'm going to Leverkusen v Mönchengladbach, before flying home from Dusseldorf that evening. The match is at 15.30, and my flight is at 20.55. I'll have my bag (which I wouldn't be allowed to take into the ground) and Leverkusen Mitte doesn't seem to have any lockers (Schließfach), so would you guys leave it in a locker at Köln hbf or travel to Dusseldorf hbf before the game and leave it there? I've looked at the timings and although its possible, I'm a bit concerned there much allowance for anything going wrong trying to get from the stadium to Köln hbf and then to Dusseldorf airport in time for the flight. Is there another option I've not considered?

Also I'll be missing the City v Leicester game on the Saturday and I want to know if there are any Premier League highlights shownon German tv in the evening? What channel / time?

You can leave your baggage in the lockers near the "containers" at block B at the Bayarena. They seem to have lockers there. It costs 1 EUR.

I had that from the werkselfforum dated 2012. But the Bayarena wiki tells that there are lockers on both sides of the stadium.

Wonderful action by Seferovic. What a bunch of c*nts to do something like that.

Bayern extend their lead at the top and it seems like the league is over especially if Dortmund beat Wolfsburg next week. Playing Alonso in midfield by himself is a bit crazy, but when you have that quality it does not matter, but once more when they play the big teams they won't be used to their proper formation. Lewandowski not hitting the heights he did with Dortmund.

Dortmund finally won yesterday with Hummels having a true captain's performance. He was brilliant and inspired the team. The other big plus for them was Gundogan looking like he will certainly return to form. Kagawa was dropped and so was Immobile. Dortmund do have quite a few special players in the team, which is why I still think this could be there CL year. Bender, Gundogan, Hummels and Reus are as good as any in the world. Weidenfeller was finally dropped too as was Durm.

Schalke with another big win. It looks like Di Matteo is living up to what I predicted and bringing some good football. Huge game for them midweek, but I don't think it will be enough, because Chelsea will not win against Sporting.

One specifically for our resident Bayern fans, or any Germans here. I'm writing an article for VAVEL, on Holger Badstuber's career so far etc. I'm looking for some quotes I can use from regular Badstuber watchers.

So, what were you thoughts firstly; when he broke into the Bayern squad, secondly when he nailed down the first team place and finally your thoughts on his two injuries. Thanks.

I think a counter attacking style suits him a lot more than the possession style that bayern use. Having said that he seemed technically good enough to be a success in any top team

I dont think so. too many average players and dont have a top striker. Madrid, bayern, chelsea for me in that order, with Athletico and Barca after them

To be fair, regardless of a teams style of play he should be able to hit the target from 3 yards with an open goal...

I just don't think Guardiola's tactics suits a centre forwards. Lewandowski's strength apart from his strength is how good he is technically. He has never been clinical, but just great at every aspect of the game.

As for Dortmund they go have a lot of average and plain bad players, but not that many if they keep everyone fit. In their first Langerak, Sahin, Mkhitaryan and Ramos are the average ones (actually that is quite a lot when you write it out). With their incredible pressing and counter attacking style I think they can expose Barca and Madrid. Whilst they are a lot more experienced than PSG. If they could find a way to switch Immobile with Higuain in Janaury they will have a greater shot. With you I think Madrid and Bayern are the main favourites. However, I just have a feeling that it could be their year. In fact if Aguero is not out for too long and you do get through against Roma, I have a feeling it could be a Dortmund vs City final. The biggest problem for you lot will be getting the result on Wednesday.

Back to the Bundesliga I am happy Hamburg won. The girlfriend is from there and her family are big Hamburg fans, but sadly she supports Bayern. They are far too big a club to be fighting relegation. Have some decent plays like VDV and Holtby too.
