Just in case anyone is interested, Wacker Innsbruck won 3-0 this evening and avoided relegation to the regional league. Innsbruck's biggest football crowd since Euro 2008, and a fantastic atmosphere followed by the obligatory pitch invasion. A great night, and all for free!

Pleased for them,went to the ground a few years ago and they showed me around,nice people.

Great news. Had a great time with some Wacker fans when I visited for our pre-season game against Besiktas a couple of years back. Lots of drink and ended up in a Jazz Club till 3am. Innsbruck is a brilliant place.
 
Interestingly enough, I nearly bought a Wacker shirt because it looked cool/weird. Might still do it, it's fairly cheap on that classicfootballshirts.com - that full badge on the kit is beautiful.
 
Like a bad smell, you just cant get rid of Hamburg.

They equalised in stoppage time (from a dodgy free kick), and won it in extra time. They play Bundesliga again next year.

I've got nothing against them, and its probably my favourite City away game to date, but that clock needs to be brought down!

I think they probably need to drop into the 2. Bundesliga before they become a major force again, as many teams have over the years.

Their current existence is one fight for survival after another.

Gladbach and Eintracht Frankfurt have both had spells in the second division in recent years and are now well established back in the top flight.

Karlsruhe have spent time in both the Regional Liga and the 3. Bundesliga in recent years, but seem to be on the way back now.
 
Have to disagree in the nicest possible way. They were lucky last Thursday, but I think it's great that they've still got something over Bayern and the rest.
I just hope 1860 can follow suit.

Incidentally, tickets weren't a problem for either game last week.

I'm not saying I want Hamburg relegated; far from it. I too think it's great they have something over Bayern.

I just think it might be in the club's long-term interest to spend a year out of the top flight.

I know I sound like a broken record, but I despise HSV and their fans so much.

Just the fact that their idiotic fans started to tease Karlsruhe Fans with some stupid songs after they went up 2-1 (stuff like "2.Liga, Karlsruhe ist dabei" no idea how to translate it, but it basically is a tease that Karlsruhe will play 2nd division again next year) shows what a set of classless cunts they are. Last year when they managed to avoid relegation against Fürth Lasogga was celebrating his goal in front of the Fürth bench like a moron and teased them as well.

I really wonder how you can be so completely classless, both...their fans and their players. They waste literally millions every season and then act like the big guys when they somehow manage to avoid relegation for the second time in a row. Surely something to be proud of when you got the financial backing that they have.

"Karlsruhe is in it!" Is more or less what they're chanting.
 
They did it... just. 2-1 and another late late goal - a 91st minute winner. Incedible scenes when it went in.
