Does this mean that 1860 will be staying at the Allianz?

Funny because I’m still in the office, yet I was punching the air when 1860 scored the winner.

It reminded me of a game at Edgeley Park around 2001 when Crystal Palace needed to win to have a chance of staying in the Championship.

I was in the away end with a Palace supporting colleague, and when Dougie Freeman scored in the last minute, I invaded the pitch with all the Palace fans

Yeep, glad they won and stay up, but as has been mentioned here before, as long as they (have to) share a stadium with FC Bayern, they are on a lost cause.

P.S. for free TV live coverage schedule check here http://www.fussballgucken.info/fussball-deine-suche?competition=&media=&team=&date=&s=Suchen

They do not have to stay in the Arena. We would have loved them to go into the 3rd league so we have the Arena for ourselves, get red seats etc. Would be really nice. They even could go now. The City had offered them to extend the Hermann-Gerland-Kampfbahn aka Grünwalder Stadium to 20.000. But even in that question they never will speak with one voice.

The Hamburg Dino is a really good managed club against 1860. There is nothing romantic in it. That club is in selfdestruction mode since the end of the 60s but in the recent years it has really gotten ridiculous. Everybody in this club working against each other - they do not need to have fights with the outside - they have so much turmoil inside that somewhen it probably will implode. They are just a comedy show of a club...

There were a lot 60 fans that even wanted to go down in third league as they hoped that that might be better for the club.

Thats Bayern like ,let 60 pay their stadium and throw them out when its done .

What bullocks.
The problem is that whereas 1860 in 2005 still had an average of 40.000 visitors it is 10 to 20.000 now. Yes, the Allianz Arena is too big for them when they only can fill it like this. The rent for the stadium is 1.5 million EUR each season. The problems are the VIP areas, the catering etc. what makes another 3 million extra costs which 1860 has difficulties to finance as they cannot really sell it.

The revenue (Umsatz) and losses of 1860 in the recent seasons (they are in the second league since 2004)

bilanzen-achtzehnhundertsechzig-muenchen100_v-gseapremiumxl.jpg

That Bayern and 1860 were on eye level was already 50 years ago. In the mid of the 1960s they had a really great team and were Bundesliga Champion in 1966. But it went fast down with them as they were relegated to the Regionalliga in 1970. The 70s they mainly spent in the Regionalliga and then in the new 2nd Bundesliga. End of the 70s they went up twice for a year or two into the Bundesliga but could not stay there for long. In 1982 they lost the license for the 2nd Bundesliga because of the finances. They spent the rest of the 80s in the Bayernliga and went up to the 2nd Bundesliga at the start of the 90s and to the Bundesliga in 1994.

From 1994 to 2004 they had the next longer stint in the Bundesliga and could keep themselves in the midtable. But since 2004 they are a permanent member of the 2nd.

----------------------

If this club would have a good lead etc. they would have all the chances to be a good midtable club in the Bundesliga. Some years ago they really had a great youth development. They have a fanbase even if you cannot tell anymore that the city is blue and the area around red - that was like this in the past. With them in the 2nd league or even deeper the kids of the last generations often went for the more attractive club in the town. But that is nothing they could not get back. They still seem to have a big enough fanbase if they can fill the stadium for the relegation fights...

But their lead is a full comedy show. Everybody working against the next. Everybody trying to put the blame onto the other one etc.

That says it all - and that are just some of the "little problems" they have...

That is seriously weird! I thought that as soon as the draw was made! I may actually go to it, it's pretty feasible as it stands.

As for the Champions League Groups, Bayern and CSKA are the obvious ones and whoever is the hardest team in Pot 4 so probably Lazio.

Love the way all the big clubs have to play away from home

I'd say you would be better going another weekend so you can get to an Ingolstadt home game. Not much point going for just one game in my opinion but if we do get Bayern (I really hope we dont) you could go a few days earlier or stay a few days later and get a couple of games (to help justify the cost). Or just wait until later in the season anyway when you might be able to get to a few grounds like Augsburg, Bayern or 1860, Nürnberg, even Unterhaching over the course of a weekend. There are plenty in the area.

The problem is for me is that my football season starts on the same weekend as the Bundesliga and so August looks the best time to do it, especially with me starting College in September. Like you say it'd be better doing a few grounds over a weekend but at the moment I may have to settle for Unterhaching. The chances are another of the Bavarian sides will be at home on a different day that weekend; hopefully 1860 - So I could maybe do that one.
