Any of our German friends know much of Braunschweig? seem to be coming up to the Bundesliga by quite a margin with Hertha, have they had financial help or just having a good season?

Very big tradition. One of the 16 clubs that started the Bundesliga in 1963, champions in 1967. Down to 2nd and 3rd division since the mid 80s. Now, they had never money. Just good management in the last years. Would love to see them back. The Derby with Hannover 96 is one the best in germany (and Wolfsburg is even nearer to Braunschweig).
Their ground though still looks 80s style

So, Bayern are now 20 points clear ahead of the second team - Dortmund, which means they might become champions after 3 games? Damn, that will leave them with 6 games in which they can field younger players and just rest players for the Cup and CL. Looks good for them in my opinion.

If Dortmund doesn't win their next two matches against Freiburg (home) and Stuttgart (away), Bayern could be Champions in March if they win against Leverkusen (away) and Hamburg (home).

Perfect situation as it would allow complete concentration on CL.
But there are also some records to achieve.
Bayern are now on 66 points. The record is 81 points (Dortmund 2011/12). Bayern could get 93 points (out of 102 points).

Some great matches at the weekend

FC Augsburg 1-2 1.FC Nürnberg, att.30,660
0:1 Kiyotake (21.), 1:1 Schäfer (36., og), 1:2 Esswein (54.)
Some comedy goalkeeping by Nürnberg´s Raphael Schäfer. Sadly no video for that

Greuther Fürth 0-3 1899 Hoffenheim, att. 15,760
0:1 Firmino (10.), 0:2 Joselu (16.), 0:3 Weis (50.)
Fürth´s fans made a goal celebration during the match just to make fun of their helpless team

SC Freiburg 2-5 VfL Wolfsburg att. 22,900
1:0 Kruse (2.), 1:1 Makiadi (7., og), 1:2 Vieirinha (16.), 1:3 Olic (22.), 1:4 Olic (49.), 2:4 Flum (65.), 2:5 Diego (90.+3)
Big surprise and some great goals by the wolves

FC Bayern 3-2 Fortuna Düsseldorf, att 71,000
0:1 Bolly (16.), 1:1 Thomas Müller (45.), 1:2 Lambertz (71.), 2:2 Ribery (73.), 3:2 Boateng (86.)

Schalke 04 2-1 Borussia Dortmund att. 61,671
1:0 Draxler (12.), 2:0 Huntelaar (35.), 2:1 Lewandowski (59.)
Great day for the Royalblues. Benny Höwedes signed a new contract and 19 year old playmaker Julian Draxler scored in his 100th match in Bundesliga and cups.

Borussia Mönchengladbach 1-1 Werder Bremen att. 54,010
1:0 Mlapa (72.), 1:1 Ignjovski (77.)

Yes. If they win next week in Leverkusen they could still make it on Easter Saturday.

Leverkusen does not matter than anymore and if Dortmund draws in Stuttgart at 15:30 - Bayern could bag it in in their 18:30 match at home against Hamburg.

Since Labbadia (who is an Ex-Bayern-player) is coach in Stuttgart Dortmund has problems to win against them.

-------------

Huntelaar will probably miss all CL-matches of Schalke this and the next month. And Hummels is told to be out of the game for at least the next four weeks.

Who will partner Mertesacker in the national team against Khazakhstan - Höwedes or Boateng?
