Burnley (a) pre-match thread

We now have 4 cup finals (one literally, the other 3 in effect).

Come on, City! If we can win these 4 we'll go down in history as not only winning the only Domestic Treble, but also winning the greatest title battle ever.

It will also break the hearts of Liverpool fans everywhere, which is a nice side benefit.
 
Apparently Burnley have beaten the champions in every season they’ve been in the premier league. Hopefully we’ll put an end to that run.

Nice, anyways if anything among those does not work as per plan, we can have solace from threads like "Is the Title Race scripted" or VAR is a joke etc..

Manchester City is a great team now probably might even go down as the finest team in the Premiere League era.. but yes the remaining 3 games in the league will be tougher test than united away or Chelsea and Arsenal at home.. good luck there

I am-rumblings at the moment, no more. Would mean 3 games and with potential injuries to others impact significantly. It was never a red-yellow at most, but I guess we will see how much certain parties want Liverpool to still have a chance. I'm hoping it passes today and we can forget about it.

Me too. I wish the ref would have seen it and dealt with it with a yellow. Worried that he’ll say he’s not seen it. Hope not, as he’ll be a huge loss.

Burnley are completely safe, no way anything untoward will happen to them in terms of staying in their league.. but one thing they are really good at is playing together against a top top team by giving them close to 80% and hitting them on the counter.. this is really your toughest test, without one of your two key players.. though I doubt Fernandinho is needed for a fixture like this..
you guys are pretty tired but dont show any fatigue whatsoever strangely and miraculously.. this is an all or nothing tie, unless of course, Huddersfield get something from Liverpool
 
We know what to expect from Dyche's "honest lads" - timewasting from the first minute, rolling around looking for free kicks and hammering the ball into the box.

This is it. Win and I am 100% confident we will be champions. The team has come so far

I have penciled this game in for weeks as the 'end of the road' game. I have been pessimistically convinced this is where it falls down and Burnley would take no greater pleasure in it - Score early and keep the ball

Pal, at least they don't start threads like VAR is a Joke, Is title race scripted, how are you feeling etc.. It is miraculous surely to see this kind of intensity and I mean it in a positive way..

We play our best football with one defensive mid and playing on the front foot. Im not sure why peps not learnt that yet. I thought that Fern had a fantastic game last night but the game definitely changed for the better. Gundo was more effective deeper. Bernie was far better playing inside and Leroy gave us pace to burn.
