Burnley (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

All important three points, very god first half performance with a couple of good goals nice and early to settle us down. It was great to see us start the second half on the front foot very disappointing that we didn't push on from there. It all felt a little bland after Rodri's shot, some nice little bits of movement but the final ball or final bit of ball control let us down.

Routine win that won't live long in the memory. But considering SIX changes from Spurs game with Stones, KDB & Haaland all returning from injury then its definitely glass half full for me ... 8 wins on the bounce, squad returning to full fitness, title still in our own hands, nice champions league draw, winnable FA cup draw and STILL people on here moaning ... IN-CRE-DI-BLE !

3 points but the subs changed the game and not for the better.
Goal difference might be the difference between winning this league and losing it.
Annoying.

3 points.

2 goals for the birthday boy.
70 mins for KDB
20 mins for Haaland to remember how to play football.
Rodri scored the same goal as in the CL final.

Not much else happened. Next.

Routine win and three valuable points.Very disappointing how we stopped playing after the third goal. Understandable but disappointing nonetheless.

Second half was predictably gash. As it has been a few times at home this season but as long as it’s a win, that’s the main thing.

Just wouldn’t mind seeing us actually try and score every now and then rather than showing off an element of control!

Obsession with goal difference in January is fucking mad when the first place team will have to drop points for us to catch them and we still have to play them away.
