Burton Albion (a) Post Match Thread

Obviously VAR is only used to stop us scoring. Blatant penalty. That was a foul anywhere else on the pitch, so why not in the box?? Pathetic.
Pep said it was like an ice rink. At least no one got injured.

Plus another really assured performance from a goalkeeper who only just turned 20 and is being asked to play the Pep way. Feeling pretty confident with him as back up and he deserves to start in the final. I think he will too.

Coming along isn't he, be interesting to see what happens when Steffen joins us? He doesn't deserve to be pushed aside anyway.

Job done , treacherous pitch in the second half , another cup final , De Bruyne and Aguero got minutes on the pitch .

Gutted for Bolton like most people here but he has to accept that as a player. He might never get chances with City's first team. Should go on loan this summer. Problem for him is he has to sort out his position.

I think none of our youngsters really impressed tonight. Sandler is a bit too slow for the PL, he made 1 huge mistake at the end which should have been converted by Burton.

Here in Toulouse I watch quite a few TFC matches & Girona matches on TV and honestly, none of the City youngsters really stand out like Maffeo did last season. Douglas Luiz has the most talent (looking at how he carries the ball and passes it around) but he is slow and does not position himself to influence games at all. Aleix Garcia is more effective but still quite inconsistent. Manu Garcia can't play at City level that's quite obvious.

Really really hoped to see Matondo play on live TV but never get the chance. He is perhaps injured? Or is it his contract problem?

Got the win and no injuries. Main aim achieved.

Good performances from most of the kids and more minutes in the legs for De Bruyne. Mahrez finally stopped being selfish and passed and we scored. Still taking too long to lay the ball off or pick a pass but was a threat so will go easy on him. At 9-0 up you can forgive his desire to score over passing. Mendy back and was a beast going forwards as usual and showed just what we have missed. Can't wait to see him ans Sane together.

Another final, lovely stuff. Spurs would be the easier game with Alli and Kane both out so hopefully they hold on tomorrow.

Nice - M6 northbound closed jn16-17 So diversion up A50 to Sandbach.

Dull

However not that long ago I'd have given my right arm for a Wembley final. Hard to keep count how many times we've been these days.

Great days and need to remind myself of that every now and again instead of moaning how dull the second leg of a 10-0 aggregate win is
