It took a long time, but they got there in the end.

The question is now whether it's sustainable. Gigg Lane is like Wembley at the level they are now and will be costly to maintain. It will be right interesting to see what crowds they get after the first few games. I hope they are OK, but they have a long way to go to get back in the League.

Lifelong Shaker here.
Delighted to be back at GL, estimate I've seen around 1000 games at Gigg, including The Central League back in the 1970's, anyone remember that?
We need to move up the leagues as quickly as possible.
Hope some of you Blues can get down to GL for a game or two next season.
I've no big allegiance to City but really hope you win the treble, if you win things then that lot at Old Trafford
(not LCCC) can't and that'll do for me.
If my mate Neil reads this, dyed in the wool blue, texted me happy beneathus day on Thursday, very witty along with Ten Bob'.
This has been doing the rounds, doubtless some of you have seen it.
"His name is Colin Bell and from Bury he did come....." (Not forgetting Bobby Owen either)
Yes, I remember those days well. Going to Gigg Lane and changing ends at half time. George Heslop with hair playing against us in the League Cup 1972/3, when Bury won 2-0. Great days.
That's when we had a good team. Oh, hang on.......

Best of luck getting back into the EFL. It will be long slog, but hopefully you will make it.

Just needs a dickhead-proof thick skin like everyone else who posts on a football forum. I for one am happy Bury are sorting themselves out.
TBH, I am offended, by what I don't know
And along the way kick the fuck out of FC rags and Salford FC.
Can I double like?

It won’t be long until they are shaking the buckets again.

The fan base think they are bigger than they actually are and as soon as they return to their natural place (League Two) they will be spending beyond their means to get in League One and beyond.

I’m glad things seem to be heading in the right direction.

Good luck for next season and the future.

Does that mean the Good Sheikh can now dip his hand down one of the sofas and finance MCFC with Abu Dhabi money rather than his own? Has Wenger mentioned anything? Has Uefa been in touch? I wonder if Bury poll tax is set to rise?
Council tax increases every year in Bury as I'm in Prestwich which is Bury south. The bin men now look in your bins to see if they are full or not and if it's the latter they leave it until the next week to save money.

Scouse bin men in Prestwich??

Well done to all involved. Now the club is set to be one again, hope to see a rise back to league football

They have - they are back and at Gigg Lane !!

By League football, I meant four steps above where they are now.

Great news for the club and both factions, to have put this all to bed and (most?) importantly to be back at home.

Good luck Shakers

Just been talking to some lad staying at the hmo next door...he plays for Bury tomorrow night and also works at City's training ground. Free gear for me:))))

Really? I live in Bury too and they always empty my bins. I'm not a councillor, so it isn't that. I suggest you have a word with the people in charge at the Town Hall, or with your local councillor.

How would it save money, by the way? They still come around, whether they empty your bin or not, or ultimately they have to process the waste whether it arrives over 2 weeks or one.
