Turnover up every month this year apart from July, this month is dogshit to be honest,as ever its getting paid that is the hard work, usually very busy from now til Christmas.Margins are healthy though so should be a reasonable year.

Any bags of offcuts to buy

I started my own business just over 6 years ago and it's been nothing but recession since I started. I found the first 18 months very difficult trying to establish myself in what genuinely is a niche market in the North West compared to darn sarf London town. However i've persevered at it and it's gone from strength to strength picking up new customers all the time. There really isn't any pattern or season as to peaks and troughs. It's been a gamble and so far one that's paid off but you can never rest on your laurels as you just don't know what's around the corner.

Edit...Should have said Bespoke or off the shelf aquarium installs and maintenance.

Own betting shops.

This last 18 months has been poor.
We do work for Ladbrokes via a facilities management company and they are closing shops every week, they do open some new ones but not as many.....so in your game you're not on your own even the big boys are feeling it

I know. Everyone in the game is struggling casinos and machine operators too.

Sign of the times.

Think high street betting shops are becoming a thing of the past unfortunatley with online taking over.
The roulette machines are keeping them afloat
70% of their income in some bookies.

Out of interest can i ask you business owners a question.

Is it employment regulations that are holding you back from growing?

That's right the machines are what's stopping Ladbrokes closing more shops
