Can a band make more than two albums nowadays

Stereophonics...class act!

Word Gets Around - brilliant
Performance and Cocktails - stunning
Just Enough Education To Perform - amazing
You Gotta Go Their To Come Back - good
Language Sex Violence Other - incredible
Pull The Pin - good
Keep Calm and Carry On - good

These guys are album guys and know how to create a good bloody record!

Modest Mouse have 6 or 7 good ones.

The Moon and Antarctica and The Lonesome Crowded West were epic.

Gotta say though Kings of Leon broke my heart. Aha Shake and Youth + Young Manhood were beyond words. I listened to them recently after a good few years without a proper listen and they are both mesmeric. But after hearing the last two albums though I wish they had just quit after Because of The Times.
Only By The Night and Come Around Sundown are absolute dross.
The Lonesome Crowded West is the best album!
I also agree, nothing after Because of the Times is worth listening to.

what about " NOW" fuck knows how many albums they've had out - maybe 80 - and they consistently top the charts

Seems to be the limit for bands

Oasis made two exceptional albums then good/average

Artic monkeys 2. Radiohead 0. Verve 1. Killers 1. etc etc

Two and then you have had it

All 3 artic albums are top notch.

-- Mon Nov 01, 2010 10:48 am --

Ryan Adams seems to bring out great albulms, but he is a one off. But i do agree most bands cannot produce 2 great albulms never mind just 2 albulms.
There are just no real musical scenes anymore....... have we done everything in music????? and are we just repeating ourselves ???????
